Today we celebrate Black liberation and freedom. Juneteenth reminds us of the progress generations of African Americans have made, coming together to stand against systems of oppression and racism. As the nation is trying to dismantle the foundations that have been laid for freedom, take this time to remember the strength that came before us and use it to stand against injustice. There is power within the individual, community, and action, from June 19, 1865, to now.
