Today we celebrate Black liberation and freedom. Juneteenth reminds us of the progress generations of African Americans have made, coming together to stand against systems of oppression and racism. As the nation is trying to dismantle the foundations that have been laid for freedom, take this time to remember the strength that came before us and use it to stand against injustice. There is power within the individual, community, and action, from June 19, 1865, to now.

🚨PSR PA’s President, Dr. Ketyer is in Rolling Stone!🚨
A new Rolling Stone and DeSmog piece by Justin Nobel incorporates critical work by PSR PA in exposing unsafe levels of radioactive contamination in the Cecil Township pipe-yard in Washington County and features the voice of Dr. Ned Ketyer, President of

“This may very well be a crime scene,” said Dr. Ned Ketyer. “I am livid. Put up the yellow police tape to stop exposures now, keep the public away with signage, and there should be a public health announcement made by local authorities. People need to be held accountable, and I think the responsibility ultimately lies with the governor.”

PSR PA is calling on the DEP and the Shapiro Administration to:
âś… Increase transparency with the public
âś… Improve response times to environmental complaints
âś… Use all available tools to conduct thorough investigations
âś… Protect the workers, children, and environment that exist around this pipe yard.

Check out this article that explores the mycorrhizal network that sustains life on Earth. Not only does it provide plants with nutrients and water but helps to regulate the climate by absorbing carbon into the soil.
The author writes, “Lower-density fungal networks reduce the soil’s ability to store carbon and distribute nutrients, and the networks also protect waterways from nitrogen, phosphorus and other chemicals.” It is important to protect these systems from processes such as tilling or products like fertilizers and fungicides. By maintaining a rich fungal network the fungi and plants can achieve symbiosis and continue to preserve the Earth.

Dear Members of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Pediatrics, We, the undersigned pediatricians and diplomates of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), write to you collectively to strongly encourage the ABP to renew the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 activity "Impact of C...
