After more than 13 years of dedicated service with Aramark, including 10 impactful years in leadership with the Dietetic Internship Program, we are proud to celebrate the upcoming retirement of Donna Michael, Dietetic Internship Manager.

Donna’s leadership, passion, and commitment to mentoring future dietitians have left a lasting mark on our organization and the many dietetic interns she has guided throughout their journeys. Her dedication helped shape a program built on excellence, growth, and support, and her influence will continue to be felt for years to come.

Internship Diaries: Dietetics Edition

Cornelius Henderson attended a HealthLeap Training, which is a healthcare technology company that uses AI to help hospitals identify undiagnosed or under-treated medical conditions.

The hospital dietitians are using this technology to better manage malnutrition. The tool uses an algorithm in EPIC, and ranks patients as low, medium, or high risk of malnutrition.

In addition to nutrition consults and screens, the clinical team uses this tool to identify malnourished patients and other at-risk patients early.

Cornelius is glad that he was able to learn about this tool before starting his clinical capstone rotation in order to better care for his patients.

Ambar Lopez's internship rotation includes:
✅Early mornings,

Ambar's training also includes giving patient education, reviewing nutrition resources, and enjoying her foodservice experience. Every task is helping her build the skills she needs to become a Registered Dietitian. 👩‍🏫📚🫂

Some days are challenging, but every day is worth it. Growing, learning, and getting one step closer to her career goals. ✨
