2.5 days of traveling but we made it to Florida at 3am yesterday.

Today we spent the whole day at Mayo Clinic completing tests to get a second opinion.

We could have gone somewhere closer but it would have changed our whole plan for getting south so we just combined the two and I could not be more impressed with this hospital!! 💛

It’s these small tweaks that bring change and joy to the daily routine. The patio table is not that great for Dad to sit at but we made it work 😝. It’s all about finding ways even when it’s hard.

Lots to be grateful for but It’s been a rough Summer…
Dad has been in and out of the hospital, fighting pneumonia and other infections.
It goes without saying how terrible it is for our loved one but I’m not sure people realize just how consuming a loved one being in the hospital is for the Caregiver.
And Post hospital your trying to find your bearings, follow new orders, navigate your loved ones new routine with treatments and needing more sleep.
It. Becomes. Your. Every. Day. Life.
And I’m not complaining. I’m SO incredibly thankful my Dad fought these infections, is home and everyday doing better. Thank God. 🙏
Im just acknowledging how these things can go and how they can be heads for everyone.

BUT…..
Today the sun was shining, he felt great and so we went to our favorite orchard for apples and fall raspberries. 🍎🤗❤️
