NHW Community Health Center

NHW Community Health Center, a division of NATIVE HEALTH, provides Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health services to the Phoenix-metro community.

At NATIVE HEALTH, we strive to provide the best health care available for urban American Indians, Alaska Natives, and other individuals who generally experience barriers to holistic, patient-centered, culturally sensitive health and wellness services. NATIVE HEALTH currently provides a wide range of services including Primary Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, WIC (available at four sites), and C

ommunity Health and Wellness programs. In 2022, over 20,000 individuals benefited from our services, which resulted in more than 100,000 visits. All of NATIVE HEALTH’s clinics are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). NATIVE HEALTH has been accepted as a provider for most private insurance and state of Arizona Medicaid (AHCCCS) plans. Join the NATIVE HEALTH Health Start Program for an infant massage class, focused on bonding and connection on Friday, August 14, 11 am-1 pm, at NHW Community Health Center, 8800 North 22nd Avenue (one long block south of DunlapO in Phoenix. For families with infants 12 months and under.

Caregivers will learn gentle techniques that promote relaxation, support infant development, and foster a strong caregiver–baby bond. Infant Massage Kits featuring Baby-safe massage oil and Infant massage educational materials.

FREE INDIGENOUS BOOKS! Join us on Wednesdays, August 5 - September 23, 9 -10:30 am at NHW Community Health Center for Raising a Reader! This FREE, 8-week interactive program is brought to you in partnership with Southwest Human Development. The photos of the books are a sampling of what your child(red) might receive. Children will receive 12 FREE Indigenous children's books, snacks, and crafts!

This program will also be held Tuesdays, August 4- September 22 at NATIVE HEALTH Central and on Wednesdays, September 9 - October 28 at NATIVE HEALTH Mesa. Parents stay with children and participate in the program.

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist (OES) is responsible for assisting families and children of the community to identify, enroll, and access affordable health insurance options through Medicaid/CHIP and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
