James Deans
Born in 1976 in the rural area of Merced, California, “the gateway to Yosemite”, James Deans was born in a perfect area for the development of a philosophical and spiritual perception of day to day life. James was encouraged from a young age to be himself and to find his true calling. Initially, James loved the world of sports and had dreams of becoming a professional baseball player
. However, a psychedelic experience when he was 19 years old propelled him into the world of spirituality, music and philosophy. He began to dive into Hip Hop Kulture in the early 90’s. The Art of Freestyling came natural to him and opened him to the existence of there being something larger than him that was assisting him with this new found expression. 27 years later and James has become a true master Freestyler, producer, and audio engineer. To James, hip hop music vehicle for spiritual awakening in our times. During his early exposure to hip hop, James was also introduced to meditation through the way of the Tao. While he was not an avid reader in his early life, his spiritual awakening inspired him to seek knowledge and truth about life and he began studying many different philosophies from different parts of the world
Through his studies, it became clear to him that Ultimate Truth of Reality is a synthesis of the philosophies of the world. Such a view, creates a unified perception of our mission here on Earth together
James’ life is a true example of learning from all experiences and synthesizing the search for the deeper meaning in things / the intention realm behind what we see / the subtle energy level of life / psychic energy- for the source of all things .. something common to all - yet unique to each experience. A perfect Paradox. James was greatly inspired by his uncle James Wood of Los Angeles, California who was a life long student of philosophy, yoga teacher and highly respected community developer who said, “you’ll begin to know yourself from your reflection in others faces“.

James and his wife have two amazing daughters and live in Phoenix, Oregon. He is owner of Yoga For Your Ears LLC, an independent record label and recording studio, as well as Sacred Design Counseling, offering spiritual and philosophical counseling, human design readings and meditation lessons. 🙌🔥
