Scam alert. Don’t do business with this artist! Jeffrey Cohn is the name on his Zelle. He’s collecting deposits, and when the client asks what the address is, he’s giving our shop address. He had never worked for us, nor will he ever. The phone number he gave out was to a local attorney, not his own phone number. If you want to help out our industry, head over to his page and report him. Thank you

Hello, my name is Celli Villarreal; I am a tattooer at Sentient Tattoo Collective and a registered yoga teacher. My goal is to connect with  tattoo studios and artists all across the valley. The intention is to teach artists how we can heal our bodies through yoga and tattoo with much less chronic pain. 

Yoga and tattooing are synergist ancient practices. Not only do we store physical tension due to repetitive hand movements and sitting in a locked position most days, we are also absorbing energetic tension from our clients. It is our responsibility as artists to prioritize taking care of our bodies on both a physical and energetic level in order to continue our craft for as long as possible. Our bodies are truly so resilient and they crave movement. 

This will be a 1 hour Vinyasa yoga class. Vinyasa yoga is simply defined as synchronized breath to movement. I will be guiding you to connect with your breath to help power you through each posture. This class will be a bit more of a workshop style meaning I may pause a few times throughout the class so that I can watch each of you repeat those movements and provide adjustments if needed. We will focus on hip openers, releasing tension in the spine and neck, and wrist flexibility. I will also teach simple movements you can practice whenever you take breaks during those long days of tattooing. 

Yoga blocks and straps will be provided. Bring a mat and water! Spots are limited to 8-10 students for this donation based class at 5pm Sunday November 9th at North Mountain Tattoo.  Please be sure to RSVP for class to register your spot!
