Injuries happen. How you come back matters.

KJ is putting in the work with Jessica Rivera, OTD, OTR/L, and Tyler Gulla, PT, DPT at Spooner Scottsdale as he recovers from a wrist injury and works toward getting back to 100%.

By combining physical therapy and hand therapy, our team is focused on more than just getting him pain-free. They're helping him build strength, improve movement, and prepare for the demands of baseball so he can get back on the field stronger, faster, and ready for whatever the game throws at him.

Clearing an athlete for return to sport after ACL surgery should be based on more than time alone.

At Spooner Sports Institute, our ACL Return to Sport Testing uses objective measures of strength, power, balance, agility, reaction time, and sport specific movement to evaluate readiness under real demands of play.

The result is clear, actionable data that helps guide decision making and gives athletes a more complete picture of where they are in their recovery.

Schedule your ACL Return to Sport Test at Spooner Sports Institute and take the next step back to sport with confidence.

Low back pain is common in gymnasts, but it’s not always just a β€œback problem.”

At Spooner East Chandler, Kenzie Fausett, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, explains that shoulder mobility can play a key role in how the spine loads during overhead positions and movement. When shoulder range is limited, the body often compensates through the low back.

By addressing shoulder mobility and control through targeted movement-based exercises, we can help improve overall mechanics, reduce compensation patterns, and support more efficient movement.
