This month, we’re excited to spotlight our teacher trainee, Kelly ✨
Kelly first discovered yoga over 15 years ago, but returning to Razz last year felt like “coming home.” Wanting to deepen both her practice and connection to the community, she joined teacher training to learn how to better support her hypermobile body and stay active safely.
Through training, Kelly has discovered that yoga is so much more than movement. Learning about the philosophy and 8 limbs of yoga has transformed her practice into something deeply personal — helping her find balance physically, mentally, and spiritually. One concept that has especially resonated with her is ahimsa, or self-compassion, which she describes as a powerful act of rebellion in a world focused on perfection and criticism.
Outside the studio, Kelly is a licensed psychotherapist who loves working with young adults, spending time in nature, and finding joy in life’s little moments. She hopes to eventually teach classes that feel welcoming, authentic, supportive for hypermobile bodies, and maybe even a little goofy — creating space for laughter, connection, and healing.
Her advice for anyone considering teacher training? Keep an open mind and trust the pull if it’s calling you. “There is so much to learn and so many connections to make — this is not a journey I will soon forget.” 🤍
