Over the last three years, I’ve planted a lot of seeds.
Coast to coast. Different communities. Different businesses. Different ages. Different reasons people showed up.
I loved it. Truly.
Each experience felt purposeful to me, even if from the outside it may have been hard to see how all the pieces fit together.
Toward the end of last year, I decided it was time to get clearer. I made some choices. I found good mentors. I started paying closer attention to what kept showing up underneath all those different experiences.
And eventually I realized something very simple:
𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻.
We may work in completely different settings. We may carry different responsibilities. We may need different things at different times.
But we all have a brain and a body carrying us through the day. We all get overloaded. We all make decisions. We all have relationships. We all get tired, curious, frustrated, hopeful, distracted, excited...𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻.
That realization has changed what I want to share here, too.
I’ve changed the focus of my blog and my emails. I’m calling them 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀.
They aren't meant to tell you what you should be doing. They're observations from things I notice, conversations I have, questions I'm sitting with, and sometimes things I catch myself doing. 😆
Because the world has plenty of people trying to get our attention.
𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Something that might make you stop for a minute, notice something, or ask yourself a good question.
That's enough.
