Pediatric Feeding Therapy: Support for Little Problems to Big Concerns
Day 1 Objectives:
1. Differentiate picky eating and problematic feeding presentations
2. Discuss comprehensive approaches to assessment, including examination of oral motor, sensory, behavioral, developmental, and environmental considerations
3. Identify strategies to introduce novel foods to the developing infant
4. Examine intervention strategies for the struggling infant
Day 2 Objectives
1. Explore sensory-based and play-based approaches for the growing toddler
2. Analyze maladaptive behavior from a trauma-informed perspective
3. Demonstrate intervention strategies to build stronger oral motor skills
4. Discuss the benefits of peer-driven intervention plans for toddlers and school-aged children
5. Execute effective home exercise programs that support families without exhausting their capacity
