Sometimes the most powerful medicine is simply being seen. πŸ’œ

Thank you to Phoenix Mercury guard Sami Whitcomb, for assembling over 100 kindness kits and personally handing them to our patients. In a world that too often overlooks people experiencing homelessness, you showed up β€” face to face, with warmth and without judgment β€” and reminded each person that they matter.

Your kindness will stay with our patients long after today. From all of us at Circle the City, thank you for seeing our neighbors, and for caring so deeply.

Circle the City's East Valley Medical Respite Center is just months away from opening its doors, and we are at 85% of our capital campaign goal of $24 million dollars for this important project to expand our services.
A recent, generous donation to Circle the City comes with a community challenge to match their gift, and right now we are not yet halfway there. Can you help provide healthcare for those who need it the most in the east valley, by donating or sharing this request? Any support is greatly appreciated! We respect our patients, our mission, and our donors, and your gift will be valued and impactful. We hope you'll learn more about this project and our organization. 🫢🏽

Thank you, J.A. Grifols Foundation! πŸ’œ

We are deeply grateful for your generous $25,000 gift supporting Circle the City's outreach services. Your investment helps us bring compassionate healthcare directly to people experiencing homelessness β€” meeting them where they are, on the streets and in the community.

Because of partners like you, more of our neighbors will receive the care and dignity they deserve.

Mission Moment πŸ’œ

Out on the street, one of Circle the City's street medicine teams met a patient who was weak and unwell. After she was seen for her medical appointment, she still needed to reach a friend across a busy road β€” a long, hot walk with all her belongings in tow.

The team didn't hesitate. They drove her safely to where she needed to go β€” and because her cart couldn't come along for the ride, team members made the 10+ minute walk themselves, pushing it the whole way so nothing got left behind.

No one asked them to. There was no protocol that required it. They simply saw a neighbor who needed help and stepped up β€” with kindness, dignity, and heart.

This is who Circle the City is. This is what caring for the whole person looks like. This is why this work matters.

Meet Bailey β€” Circle the City's first-ever occupational therapist!

A proud NAU grad, Bailey helps our patients develop, recover, and maintain the daily skills they need to live independently β€” independence that illness, injury, or homelessness can take away.

Her work is everything we're about: caring for the whole person.

We're so grateful to have Bailey on our team! πŸ’œ

Happy National Nonprofit Day! πŸ’œ

Today we're celebrating the power of community β€” and the people who make our work possible. At Circle the City, every day is a chance to care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness with dignity, compassion, and hope.

To our donors, volunteers, staff, and partners: thank you for believing that everyone deserves a place to heal. We couldn't do this without you.

We were honored to welcome Arizona Representative Greg Stanton to our Midtown Medical Respite Center. πŸ’œ

During his visit, Congressman Stanton met with our staff and sat down with patients to hear their stories of resilience, healing, and hope. It was a meaningful reminder of why our work matters and the difference it makes when leaders take time to see it firsthand.

Thank you, Congressman Stanton, for offering words of encouragement and for making our patients feel truly seen and valued.

A huge thank you to Mayo Clinic for their incredibly generous donation of 240 kindness kits! πŸ’œ

These thoughtful kits will make a real difference for our patients, offering comfort, care, and a reminder that our community is looking out for them as they heal.

A special thank you to Daryl Elder for coordinating this wonderful donation, and to Mauro and Carmen for personally dropping them off. Your kindness and effort mean so much to our Circle the City family and to the neighbors we serve.

August is Make-A-Will Month! πŸ“

It's the perfect time to ask yourself: Have I put my affairs in order to protect my family, provide for my future, and reflect my values?
If not, you're not alone, over 67% of Americans haven't either.

This month, take a few simple steps to plan ahead:
βœ… Draft a will
βœ… Review and update beneficiary designations
βœ… Put healthcare and financial powers of attorney in place
βœ… Complete Advance Healthcare Directives
βœ… Make sure someone knows your wishes and where to find your documents

Through our partnership with FreeWill, you can take the first step today, creating a legally valid will online, for free, in as little as 20 minutes. πŸ’™

By planning ahead, you'll gain peace of mind while protecting your loved ones and the causes closest to your heart. You can even choose to leave a legacy gift to Circle the City, helping provide compassionate healthcare and dignity to individuals experiencing homelessness for generations to come.

Your will is more than a document. It's a reflection of your values and the legacy you want to leave behind.

Circle the City recently joined our partners at the Homeless ID Project and a coalition of community organizations for the 2nd Annual Sleep Out.πŸ’œ

Together, we spent one night outdoors, standing in solidarity with the neighbors and patients we serve every day and raising money to help break down the barriers they face.

One night outside can't capture the full reality our patients live with. But when a community chooses to show up, to feel even a fraction of that discomfort and turn it into compassion, we move closer to a world where everyone has a safe place to heal and a reason to hope.
