0’s while vacationing in Hawaii. Since childhood she has loved everything about Hawaiin culture and the Aloha way of life. In 2016, after spending years studying, providing and teaching massage therapy, meditation, energy work, yoga, and various other holistic therapies, Marie was given the opportunity to learn Lomi Lomi from her mentor Susan Hannah, LMT, BCTMB and went on to be taught in depth from Ho’Ohaki the wife of Kahuna, Abraham Kawaii. “Lomi Lomi has had such a profound effect on my life. Providing the sacred space to teach and offer sessions provides a sense of peace, love and connection to Our Creator.”

She earned her initial massage certification through the National Massage Therapy Institute and has received over 2000 credit hours of instruction from a multitude of massage schools and continuing education providers. She was guided to teach massage therapy across the US in 2008 and has taught hundreds of students, dedicating herself fully to their individual growth as well as supporting them to offer the sacred healing of Lomi Lomi to others. In both her sessions and her workshops, Marie believes that the journey is one of connection to Spirit, self-realization and a deep sense healing of self and others.

About Ahna

“Ahna Ma is Founder and Academic Director of The Bright Moon Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. With nearly two decades of professional practice, they specialize in Ahna Ma's unique fluid style of Thai Massage, full-body myofascial release therapies, vitalist herbalism, embodied movement arts, and integrative bodywork education.

Originally trained as a scientist and engineer, Ahna's professional journey spans research, technology, entrepreneurship, and the healing arts. Their previous work includes roles with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Bruker Nano Analytics, Applied Materials, Meta, and Meow Wolf. This unique background as a physicist, materials scientist, artist, acrobat and dancer informs their unique approach to bodywork, blending analytical understanding with intuitive embodied artistry.

Since 2006, Ahna has maintained a professional massage practice and has pursued extensive advanced training throughout the United States, Thailand, Laos, Europe, and Central America. Their studies include thousands of hours of Thai Massage and related disciplines through the OsteoThai lineage, Thai Massage Circus, Bodhi Panya Institute, Naga Center, Sunshine Network, and direct studies with renowned teachers including Arno L'Hermitte, Nephyr Jacobson, Kaline Alayna Kelly, Jack Chaiya, and Pichet Boonthumme.

They are a certified AcroYoga teacher and YogaWorks-trained yoga instructor, holding an E-RYT-500 certification from Yoga Alliance. They lead massage trainings, yoga retreats and teacher trainings domestically and internationally.

As an educator, Ahna is dedicated to preserving and advancing traditional healing arts while cultivating the next generation of skilled therapists. Through The Bright Moon Institute and the Bright Moon Community Clinic, they provide vocational training, mentorship, and accessible bodywork services for the Northern New Mexico community.

About Michelle

“Michelle graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in December of 1999. She continued her education in a Clinical Career Track, learning Advanced Eastern Paradigm, Neuroanatomy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Kinesiology, among other modalities. Her education has never stopped. Attending classes for CEs is one of her favorite pastimes.

Michelle has a thriving, private practice and teaches part time at a local college. Education has always been a passion for Michelle. Being a teacher for massage therapists is a great gift.

Michelle has learned so much through teaching. Seeing budding therapists grow and evolve into professionals is something special.”

About Nutcha Thongcham

“I'm a Thai-born natural healing and massage professional based in Arizona and therapeutic massage. Educated at Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand. I had represented the USA in international massage competition, earning No. #1 gold medal in the 2021 Massage World Cup / World Championship in Massage, as World #6–8 in the 2021 Massage World Cup.

And I had represented in official championship Massage World Nuad Thai in Italy and I won a gold medal in Thai Oil Massage, a silver medal in Asian Freestyle Massage, and a bronze medal in Nuad Thai.”

We’re honored to have Nutcha on the AZMC 2026 judging panel. A World Champion. An international gold medalist. Her standard is global and she’s bringing that standard to Mesa.
