**A Stronger Core Can Support Better Movement 💪**

EMSCULPT NEO® isn't only about body contouring. Its HIFEM® technology stimulates powerful muscle contractions and can be used to strengthen and condition muscles as part of a broader functional-wellness approach.

At MyColonDoc, **Dr. Aisha Akhtar** offers EMSCULPT NEO® for appropriately selected patients interested in improving muscle strength, core conditioning and overall functional wellness—all with a completely non-invasive treatment.

For patients experiencing lower-back discomfort, weakness or instability, proper evaluation remains important because back pain can have many causes. EMSCULPT NEO® should not replace appropriate medical assessment, physical therapy, exercise or other indicated treatment.

What kind of doctor treats hemorrhoids? Primary care physicians and gastroenterologists may evaluate hemorrhoid symptoms, but a colon and re**al surgeon (colore**al surgeon), often called a proctologist, specializes in conditions involving the a**s, re**um, and colon.

A colore**al surgeon can evaluate symptoms such as:

🩸 Re**al bleeding
🔄 Recurrent hemorrhoid flare-ups
⚡ Painful or thrombosed hemorrhoids
⬇️ Pr*****ed hemorrhoids
🔍 Persistent a**l lumps or swelling

Hemorrhoids are usually diagnosed through medical history and examination, and treatment may range from conservative care to office-based procedures or surgery depending on severity.

Not every episode of re**al bleeding, a**l pain, or prolapse is caused by hemorrhoids. Persistent re**al bleeding or ongoing symptoms should be medically evaluated.

What Kind of Doctor Treats Hemorrhoids?

You do not always need to start with a specialist.

A primary care physician can often evaluate mild hemorrhoid symptoms and begin conservative treatment. A gastroenterologist may be appropriate when re**al bleeding occurs with bowel changes, digestive symptoms, or when colonoscopy is needed.

For hemorrhoids that are persistent, recurrent, painful, prolapsing, thrombosed, or may require a procedure, a colon and re**al surgeon—also called a colore**al surgeon or proctologist—is the specialist most directly trained to diagnose and treat conditions of the a**s and re**um.

A colore**al surgeon can determine whether symptoms are truly caused by hemorrhoids and discuss treatment ranging from bowel-habit changes to office procedures or surgery when appropriate.

Do not automatically assume re**al bleeding is from hemorrhoids. Other anore**al and colore**al conditions can produce similar symptoms, which is why persistent or unexplained bleeding deserves evaluation.

Do hemorrhoids go away on their own? Many mild hemorrhoids can improve with fiber, adequate fluids, less straining, and better bowel habits—but some hemorrhoids continue to bleed, prolapse, become painful, or repeatedly return.

In this short patient-education video, learn:

🥗 How fiber and fluids may help
🚫 Why avoiding straining matters
🛁 When warm sitz baths may provide temporary relief
⚠️ When recurrent hemorrhoids may require treatment
🩸 Why persistent re**al bleeding should be evaluated
👩‍⚕️ When to see a colore**al surgeon or proctologist

Not every re**al symptom is caused by hemorrhoids. Persistent bleeding, significant pain, prolapse, or an unexplained a**l lump deserves appropriate medical evaluation.

Do Hemorrhoids Go Away on Their Own?

The answer is sometimes.

Many mild hemorrhoids improve with conservative care, particularly when constipation, hard stools, straining, and prolonged toilet sitting are addressed. Increasing fiber and fluids, avoiding straining, and using warm sitz baths for comfort can help relieve symptoms.

However, some hemorrhoids are less likely to resolve completely without treatment—especially when symptoms are recurrent, persistently bleeding, prolapsing, or significantly painful.

Persistent re**al bleeding, pain, or an unexplained lump should not automatically be assumed to be hemorrhoids. A proper examination can determine the cause and whether conservative treatment, an office procedure, or another treatment is appropriate.
