Low back pain progress in 1 month💪

Day 1:
• 8-9/10 right-sided low back pain
• Unable to stand upright
• Significant pain with lumbar extension

1 month later:
• 80-90% improved
• Standing upright comfortably
• Lumbar extension causes only mild tightness

This patient was an active person and wanted a PT who did more hands on treatments, and that's what we did. Joint mobilizations, dry needling, hip and thoracic manipulation, manual stretching and deep tissue massage. Once pain was significantly improved, we went over specific exercises that he should do to reduce the risk of this happening again: mainly hip mobility, glute, and core strength.

Nothing I appreciate more than patients who trust me with their care more than once!

It also is a major goal of mine that people don't see me continually for the same injuries. That we get the injury fixed and they have a great game plan so that it doesn't keep coming back.

This patient I have seen for multiple running injuries: patellofemoral pain syndrome (kneecap pain), ankle sprain, and posterior tibial tendonitis. All injuries were fixed in less than 6 weeks.

This patient also does a great job for coming in to PT early and not waiting for injuries to become chronic.
