🚨 SCAM ALERT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES & ARTISTS 🚨

If you run boosted ads or take bookings on Meta/Messenger, please watch out for this scam!

How the scam works:

1️⃣ The Inquiry: A fake profile responds directly to a boosted ad or flash post asking to book an appointment or buy a design.
2️⃣ The "Payment": They insist on paying right away via Cash App/Venmo, but money never actually hits your account.
3️⃣ The Spam Folder Trick: They tell you the payment is "on hold" and literally instruct you step-by-step on how to go into your phone's SMS Spam/Blocked Messages folder to find a "confirmation text".
4️⃣ The Fake Support Number: They pretend to be "on hold with customer service" and give you a 10-digit phone number to call to "release your funds".

RED FLAGS TO REMEMBER:
❌ Payment apps (Cash App, Venmo, Zelle) will never ask you to call a 10-digit cell phone number to unlock pending money.
❌ If a text automatically lands in your phone's Spam/Blocked folder, leave it blocked—your phone filtered it out for a reason!
❌ Never call support numbers provided by a customer. Always check your official app directly.

⭐️Please stay vigilant, keep your deposit procedures strict, and feel free to share this to protect other local small businesses! 🚫📱
