A lot of the newer washers on the market have a self-cleaning mode, which many of the manufacturers recommend using a name-brand washer cleaner. These are pricey little tablets, but I have an alternative solution that is not only easy to do yourself but leaves your washer smelling fresh and clean without using harmful ingredients.

I use 1-2 cups of baking soda and cover the entire drum with such. Then I add 3-4 drops of 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐢𝐥 and 3-4 Drops of 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐢𝐥.

How it works:

𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐢𝐥

This proprietary blend contains a combination of Lemon, Siberian Fir, Citronella, Lime, Tea Tree and Cilantro Essential oils.

The Lemon essential oil acts as a disinfectant; Siberian Fir has antimicrobial properties.

Tea Tree Essential Oil, also known as Melaleuca, has purifying properties (over 90 different constituents ((chemical compounds)) make up Tea Tree Essential Oil).

Citronella, which has geraniol and citronellal as constituents are known for their cleansing properties. Lime and Cilantro are known for their surface cleaning properties.

The signature blend a dynamic combination of CPTG Certified Pure Tested Grade® essential oils, including distilled Lime, Litsea, Cassia, Lemon Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Arborvitae, Kochii Eucalyptus, Cilantro, Lavandin, and Lemon Myrtle.

When added to water, abode oil blend makes a great nontoxic cleaner and can be used not only in your washer, but throughout your home. Abode essential oil blend provides powerful cleansing constituents like limonene, geranial, neral, and 1,8-Cineole.

Litsea has both citral and limonene constituents, which are significant for their antimicrobial properties/antibacterial properties. Arborvitae essential oil has thujone, sabinene, α-pinene constituents also known for their antimicrobial properties.

Lemon Myrtle, has both Geranial (α-citral) and Neral (β-citral): making it a great antimicrobial solvent.

Cassia due to its tannins, contribute to astringent effects and antimicrobial activity.

Lemon Eucalyptus and Kochii Eucalyptus both contain 1,8-Cineole which have antimicrobial properties.

Tea Tree and Cilantro as discussed above.

When using these two essential oils together, you have a combination of antimicrobial and sanitizing properties that make them an ideal combination for ensuring the freshness and cleanliness of today's complex washers.

Here's where your savings come into play. Each of these 15mL bottles contain 250 drops of essential oils. If you use only 3 drops of each oil, that gives you enough for 83 applications/cleanings. If you use 4-drops per washer load, that gives you 62 applications/cleanings.
