Pascua Yaqui Tribe Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Program PYT Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Program (DPTP) is part of the PYT Health Department DPTP Fitness Center is state of the art.

The Diabetes Program consists of three unique teams that work together to provide Yoeme Community with a wide range of innovative activities and services:

DPTP Outreach provides diabetes prevention, diabetes self management & overall nutritional education to tribal members and their families. Outreach also provides 6 and 16 week education curriculums and Diabetes Conversation Map classes. It incl

udes weights, cardio equipment, an aerobics room, a boxing program and boxing ring, and a teaching kitchen. Fitness also has personal training that includes boot camp sessions and a biking program. DPTP Recreation Center oversees two gyms, several sports fields, outside basketball & volleyball courts, playgrounds & ramadas. There are also two pools and a splash pad for children. They organize many sports leagues, run an after school program, & offer Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) program in the summer.

Join us for the Ancestral Table: Food and Wellness Gathering at the Casino Del Sol. Experience Indigenous foodways with culinary demonstrations and presentations that highlight our wellbeing. There will be Yoeme Traditional Healers and Health Screenings onsite. An Indigenous meal will be provided and there will be amazing raffle prizes. Notice: Basketball Court Closure

Dear Community Members,

Please be advised that the basketball courts will be closed all day on April 24, 2026, due to a community event at the Wellness Center.

The fitness room will remain open and available for use as usual.

The basketball courts will reopen on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
