Today, we remember the lives lost to overdose and hold space for the families, friends, and communities carrying that loss.

We also recognize that substance use disorders are health conditions—not moral failures. Reducing stigma can make it easier for someone who is struggling to reach out, ask for help, and begin a path toward recovery.

August is Autoinflammatory Disease Awareness Month 💙

Autoinflammatory diseases are a group of conditions in which the immune system mistakenly triggers recurring inflammation in the body. Some, such as periodic fever syndromes, can cause symptoms that come and go and may be difficult to recognize.

Common signs can include recurring fevers, joint pain, unexplained rashes, persistent fatigue, and episodes of inflammation. Because these symptoms can resemble other conditions, they’re sometimes overlooked or dismissed.

If you or someone you love is experiencing unexplained or recurring symptoms, don’t ignore them. Talking with a physician can be an important first step toward understanding what’s happening and finding appropriate support.
