Today, we celebrate 6 years of being in business!

But we were blessed to celebrate an even more important birthday earlier this week - welcome to our newest member of the Blueberry Patch!

While I'm proud of the work we've done at the pharmacy, nothing makes me prouder than the family we've built over the same time. And one of the greatest thing is building both, together - a true family business.

While Pam's heart may be in hospital pharmacy, she is the backbone of this community pharmacy. From her unending support at home, of my time at work, and of the leap we took launching a new type of pharmacy six years ago. She's the G.O.A.T.!

To the team we've built - I'll do spotlights over the upcoming week - you all are the best! Thank you for giving your best each day (especially over the past couple days that I've been absent). Blueberry wouldn't be where it is today without each of you!

And lastly, to all of you! Whether you're a customer of the pharmacy or a supporter from afar, we're grateful for each of you for helping us live out our dreams - of being a family pharmacy! 🫐

A bit of a delayed update: Our founder, Kyle McCormick, was recently sworn in as Vice President of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.

For those who aren't in the pharmacy world, the PPA is a huge advocate for patients, pharmacists, and pharmacies working to ensure medication stays affordable and accessible across the state.

We’re proud to have a seat at the table representing the West View/Pittsburgh community. Now, back to work! 🫐

Year 3!

We can’t tell you how much joy planning, putting together, and delivering these cards brings us.

All week long we’ve been stopped by people telling us how much they loved this year’s Christmas card, and that means more to us than you know. While it’s first and foremost a Christmas card, it’s also a thank-you card. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission to change prescription pricing in America and believes in a better, more transparent way forward.

This Christmas season, we’re wishing you health, happiness, and blessings. We hope your holidays are full of warmth, laughter, and maybe just a little harmless mischief. 🎄☺️

Between July 21 and September 10, Blueberry Pharmacy recorded 20 return-to-stock prescriptions out of 3,558 total fills, representing a return-to-stock rate of 0.56%. In contrast, typical community pharmacies report an average return-to-stock rate of approximately 5.1%.

Our students from this rotation, Ashley and Colin, gathered and analyzed financial data from our medication prices since we opened here at Blueberry in 2020 and compared it to the inflation rates from the last five years. The data made our mission for fair and affordable patient care extremely clear.
