Sacred Rest has become one of my favorite offerings, in large part because it grew from a shared passion that my husband, Joe, and I have for exploring the intersection of ancient wisdom traditions and modern psychology.
We’re both endlessly curious about the practices that have helped humans heal, grow, and find meaning for thousands of years, and how those practices align with what we now understand about the mind, nervous system, and well-being. Sacred Rest was designed as a space where we can explore those ideas together in a way that is both practical and deeply experiential.
Each month we choose a topic that touches all of our lives—stress, self-compassion, purpose, relationships, resilience, and more. We begin with a slow, intentional yoga practice designed to help participants settle into their bodies and step away from the pace of everyday life. From there, we move into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra meditation, while participants receive individual Reiki throughout the experience.
We also include journaling during the workshop—or prompts to take home—because insight is only the beginning. Reflection and integration help transform an experience into something that can continue to support us long after the evening ends.
The feedback we’ve received has been incredibly meaningful. Participants have shared how nourished, grounded, and restored they feel afterward, and we’re so grateful that Sacred Rest continues to resonate with people. We love creating this space and are excited to continue offering it.
