🌼 Hello, July.

May this month remind you that you don't have to bloom all at once.

Like wildflowers reaching toward the sun, growth happens gently—often in ways we can't immediately see.

July Affirmation
"I trust the season I'm in. I welcome joy, embrace rest, and allow myself to grow at my own pace."

Find beauty in slow mornings, unexpected laughter, cool evening breezes, and the quiet moments that help you reconnect with yourself.

Here's to a month of soft beginnings, grounded hearts, and gentle healing. 💚

🌿 Two summer evenings. One invitation: to slow down.

This July, we invite you to step away from the busyness of everyday life and into the peaceful beauty of the Rabkin Japanese Gardens. As the sun begins to set, join inJOY Meditation for two unique experiences designed to nurture your mind, body, and spirit.

✨ July 1 | Sunset Meditation with Sound Healing
Experience a guided meditation led by Kristy Joy, followed by the deeply restorative vibrations of crystal singing bowls with Quest. A peaceful evening of stillness, presence, and sound.

🌱 July 15 | Sunset Meditation: Plants & Poses
Unwind with a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga practice led by Bhavna, followed by a calming sunset meditation surrounded by the beauty of the gardens.

🍵 A complimentary hot tea bar will be available before and after both events.

Whether you're seeking quiet reflection, gentle movement, or simply a chance to reconnect with yourself in nature, we hope you'll join us for one—or both—of these special summer evenings.

🌈 What happens when attachment theory is viewed through a q***r and poly-inclusive lens?

In the blog, "Q***ring Attachment Theory," Sable Arend, LPC, MS, 200hr-RYT, Licensed Professional Counselor, They/Them, explores what it means to "q***r" attachment theory by examining how LGBTQ+ and CNM relationships expand our understanding of attachment, security, and human connection.

By moving beyond rigid relationship models, therapists can provide more inclusive, culturally responsive care that honors the full diversity of relational experiences.

🌿 Happy International Yoga Day 🌿

Yoga is often thought of as movement, but its roots run much deeper. Through breath, mindfulness, and intentional practice, yoga offers an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves—body, mind, and spirit.

Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice, yoga can help cultivate greater awareness, ease stress, support nervous system regulation, and create space for self-discovery and healing.

In honor of International Yoga Day, we're excited to share Returning to Yourself, a special blog featuring our yoga instructors, their unique approaches to practice, and the classes they offer here at The Village.

May today offer a moment to pause, breathe, and return to yourself.

Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrating Black freedom, resilience, culture, and achievement.

Juneteenth invites us to reflect not only on history, but also on the ongoing work of building communities rooted in equity, belonging, and compassion. It is a day to listen, learn, celebrate, and honor the countless individuals whose strength and perseverance continue to shape our collective story.

At The Village, we believe that healing happens in community. As we recognize Juneteenth, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering spaces where all people feel seen, valued, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

Today, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and hold hope for a more just and connected future.

💙 National Panic Day

Panic attacks can feel overwhelming, but they are more common than many people realize—and you don't have to face them alone.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, panic, or chronic stress, healing begins with understanding your nervous system and meeting yourself with compassion.

Today, we invite you to pause, take a deep breath, and remember: support is available, and your experience is valid.

🌿 Be gentle with yourself today.

What does it mean to be truly seen, accepted, and supported for who you are?

In honor of Pride Month, Brady Swanson, LAPC, MS, explores this question in the blog "Honoring Authenticity: Supporting LGBTQ+ Clients with Compassion."

Through reflections on affirming care, belonging, and the healing power of authenticity, Brady shares why creating spaces of compassion and understanding matters.

Whether you're part of the LGBTQ+ community, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to deepen your understanding, we invite you to take a few moments to read Brady's perspective.
