Am I going to regret this? 🥴🥴🥴

Come on a 4 mile run with me in some new running gear 😍

This run was a little rough due to the heat but we still got it done! My speed is slowly getting faster AND I love that running is a natural part of my training now 🥹🥹 the runners high never gets old 😌

It was the first time wearing these running shorts from Under Armor and am VERY pleased to say they hardly rode up at all & no rubbing 🎉 This hat was great to wear my pony tail high and keep the back of my neck free (I hate the feeling of my hair on my neck when working out).

I’m a medium in both sports bra and shorts, and both fit perfectly

It’s always a gamble for those last couple of reps 😅

Did I film a video of me just cutting up a watermelon? Yes, yes I did. I freaking love watermelon and wanted to share my joy with you 🤣

I am baaaaack and so happy 🥹

Being totally out of movement for pretty much a week was necessary but also annoying. As I always say- both can be true 😌

I was able to eat some real food between yesterday and today, get in a solid 8+ hours and was ready to move these legs. 3 slow miles and it felt good 👍🏼

How did you move your body today?!

Plz stop saying the “gym is therapy” 😇

The gym ≠ therapy. Therapy is therapy.

We have a wealth of evidence that shows people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. But that doesn’t mean it CURES it solely without other components being taken into account.

I absolutely encourage people who are experiencing mental health struggles related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and overall stress to move their body’s and get their blood flowing.

Not only do we get the benefits on the cellular & hormonal level, but we also get to experience the empowerment of being strong, capable, fast, and more.

However, telling a depressed person to “just exercise” is far from helpful. When someone is in the thick of their mental health struggles, one of the last things they have energy for is exercise.

This is why therapy and medications matter too. Exercise can’t fix your relationships. It can’t fix those deeply hurtful things you say to yourself.

A combination of therapy, meds where appropriate, exercise and other stress management techniques are more likely to yield better outcomes.

It’s not the gym OR therapy, it’s the gym AND therapy.

If your client keeps falling off and you keep rewriting the plan, I: the plan was never the problem.

I had this exact conversation with a coach last week. Third nutrition rewrite. Second new program structure. Client agreeing every time that yes, THIS time it felt more doable…And then the same thing happening again.

The instinct when someone isn’t following through is to FIX what you can see. But what’s actually getting in the way is what you can’t see on the surface 👀

The question that can change everything is in the video. Try it before you touch the plan again♥️

And if you want to bring a case like this to a live call and work through it in real time, Join my Coach Corner — my FREEEEE monthly call where we do exactly this!

Last weekend was the .coaches.summit where I was able to present on Client Resistance (aka why your client is not following through) and it was so much fun to do some in-person public speaking again!

I do a lot of public speaking; but nowadays it’s mainly virtual. It’s nice to mix things up with some travel and IRL conversations.

I also met some new friends!! It was awesome to connect with those who are working towards a similar goal as you- making a positive impact on the world all starting with our clients.

I felt like this needed a permanent space on my feed bc this is the funniest video I’ve taken of Liam thus far 😂
