I recently shared some research about orofacial myofunctional therapy used in conjunction with scalpel/scissor tongue tie releases. Now, here’s some new research about orofacial myofunctional therapy in conjunction with laser tongue tie releases. (Link in bio)

The authors say, “The role of post-operative tongue exercises in the management of ankyloglossia is often underestimated,” as it offers the following benefits:
👅Promotes kinesthetic awareness of the tongue
👅Reduces compensations in the oral cavity/stomatognathic system that were present because of restricted tongue movement
