Let's talk about septums and proper piercing training. Again, I'm not here to bash anyone, but the facts will be said and no facts will be spared for egos.
Also again, I have made mistakes too, but I always fix them (or give a refund), but one thing I've never done is pierced someone's lower nose cartilage and called it a septum piercing 🤷🏼♀️
If the person that is piercing you claims to be a professional piercer, they better have some real training and experience under their belt. They better know anatomy and where NOT to pierce. They should never use excuses about your anatomy "being in the way" or they "couldn't get the correct angle". In those cases you either don't perform the piercing or send the client to someone that can.
A professional piercer should turn you away if they cannot perform the piercing correctly or you do not have the proper anatomy, and you should listen, because you'll find piercers that are not professionals and will shove a needle anywhere you tell them to/where jewelry will cause irritation.
I don't want to miss out on money, no one does, so when I tell you no- it means you physically cannot support the piercing and it will be painful forever/reject/get infected. Listen when a PROFESSIONAL tells you NO.
I was a terrified apprentice and had to learn too, but I put in the work, did my own research, and made sure to never perform a piercing that would hurt someone or be done incorrectly because of my incompetence. It makes me very angry to know that other piercers, in this same city, are calling themselves professionals but are putting "septums" through the lower cartilage of someone's nose.
That is never acceptable. Do better, learn from a real professional (not a tattoo artist or YouTube) or stop piercing. PLEASE. While I do make money from your incompetence, I feel awful for my clients. Sometimes you guys mess them up so bad that they cannot get the piercing they wanted, even after healing from your janky work. Stop playing with peoples bodies and get a regular 9-5.

P.s. stop going to shops where they're known for doing drugs. They will be high when they pierce you.
P.p.s. A true, and good, professional body piercer will always offer to fix any piercings or refund your money.
