Yesterday morning our team at Affinity Hospice had the privilege of hosting an iced coffee bar for the incredible physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and support staff at St. Clair Hospital.

Healthcare is demanding work. Every day these professionals walk alongside patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, often without much recognition. It was a small gesture, but one we hoped communicated a simple message: we see you, and we appreciate you.

One of the things we often speak about hospice is that it’s not about replacing the work of hospitals—it’s about extending it. The care patients receive doesn’t end when they leave the hospital. It continues through partnerships built on trust, communication, and a shared commitment to preserving dignity and improving quality of life.

Thank you to everyone at St. Clair Hospital who stopped by for a coffee, a conversation, or simply a quick smile between caring for patients. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support those who spend their lives supporting others.

Spreading Joy, One Smile at a Time! 🍋🍧

At Affinity Hospice & Palliative Care, we believe caring for our community extends beyond our patients and families. This week, we had the pleasure of showing our appreciation to the incredible nursing home staff who provide compassionate care every day by hosting a Flavored Lemonade & Smoothie Social!

A refreshing treat, a few moments to relax, and plenty of smiles were shared as we celebrated the dedicated healthcare professionals who make a difference in the lives of so many.

Thank you to all the nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, social workers, dietary staff, housekeeping, activities teams, and every member of the healthcare team for your unwavering commitment and compassion. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are honored to partner with you in providing exceptional care.

Together, we’re building stronger relationships, creating brighter days, and spreading kindness throughout our community.

Yesterday was about enjoying the wins, reflecting on everything we've accomplished, and recognizing what happens when a group of driven people refuse to settle for average. We didn't just hit goals—we raised the bar, shattered expectations, and then did it again.

We are all so proud to be surrounded by a team that keeps proving what's possible. The real secret is the people behind the success. Records were made to be broken, and apparently, we're pretty good at it. Here's to the team, the success, and whatever record we're breaking next.
