🎄 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! HELP MAKE THE HOLIDAYS BRIGHTER! 🎄

The Gathering Together Holiday Open House is coming up on November 21, and we need YOU to help make it our best year yet! ❤️

Our annual Holiday Open House is more than a shopping event. It’s a special tradition that brings our community together to support the mission of The Gathering Together, providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to guests and their families at the end of life.

✨ Do you have a talent to share? We’re looking for volunteers to help create and donate holiday treasures, handcrafted gifts, floral arrangements, baked goods, jellies, sugar scrubs, woodworking projects, and so much more!

🎁 You can help in several ways:

🎨 Create or donate handmade items
🍪 Share your favorite homemade treats
📣 Spread the word and invite friends to participate

Here’s your first peek at some of the handmade goodies coming to our Holiday Open House!

Hand-painted Christmas pillows, colorful fabric coasters, festive w**e bottle toppers, bowl cozies—and our new floor turtles! 🐢 These little helpers live in your kitchen, ready for you to scoot over small spills and soak them up.

Let’s give those bowl cozies a little extra attention!
Put your bowl inside one to microwave it and help protect your hands from the hot bowl. Love ice cream? They’re just as handy for keeping your hands comfortable when your bowl is icy cold! Each one also has a convenient hanging loop to free up cupboard space.

Pick up a gift for someone on your list—or a little something for yourself—and help support the guests and families at The Gathering Together. ❤️

Sometimes we get a goodbye that feels like a celebration.

One of our guests recently left The Gathering Together after spending a few weeks with us. He’s doing so well that he was able to head out of state to stay with family near the beach! We’re going to miss him, but we couldn’t be happier for him.

His family surrounded him with so much love during his time here. Getting to know them and care for them all was such a blessing.

And because a sendoff like this deserves a good meal, our amazing volunteer Lisa Parsley came in and cooked for him and his family. She did the same for the first guest who was able to move on from our care, and now she’s helped us celebrate our second. ❤️

It was a beautiful moment around the table. We’re so grateful for the time we had together, and we’ll be cheering him on from here!
