On September 1, 2021 Texas’ unprecedented abortion ban, Senate Bill 8, went into effect. This law bans abortion at approximately six weeks. It also grants almost anyone the power to sue someone for “aiding and abetting” a pregnant person seeking abortion care, and potentially being awarded $10,000 or more for their vigilantism.

Lush is one of over 50 companies in Texas which supports the initiative as we believe with S.B. 8, the future of gender equality hangs in the balance, putting our families, communities, businesses, and the economy at risk. Our nineteen shops in Texas are campaigning with the ACLU to stand together to protect safe healthcare, including abortion, for all.
