Mindfulness can give us tools for meeting some of life’s most difficult moments.
We wanted to share this recent story from UVM Health highlighting the impact of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for people navigating cancer and the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty that can accompany it.
One participant shared:
“Cancer is not an easy thing, but this program made it a little easier.”
The article also features Charlotte Gosrich, who developed the MBSR program for cancer survivors at FitzPatrick Cancer Treatment Center right here in our community.
We are honored to welcome Charlotte to Stoneworks for an upcoming modified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, where she will introduce accessible mindfulness practices and tools that can support us in navigating stress and becoming more present in our everyday lives.
Mindfulness isn’t about making life’s challenges disappear. It’s about developing practices that can help us meet those challenges with greater awareness, resilience, and compassion.
We encourage you to read and share Charlotte’s story through UVM Health — and stay tuned for more about her upcoming program at Stoneworks
