Sonnenberg Properties Our role is to encourage and support each child in all areas of development with appropriate material and activities in the areas of social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical development. With the involvement of our staff, families and community members, our children will develop the skills and self-image they need for a successful future.

Just because someone learns a skill doesn't mean it's easy to use everywhere!

A good job should come with more than a paycheck. That’s true whether you’re looking at an entry level role or a BCBA position.

Nine years with Brittany! 💚

Brittany has helped shape a lot of Sonnenberg’s growth, while also bringing plenty of personality and fun to the moments in between.

When she thinks about what has stuck with her, she has to choose:

“Really there have been a lot. Everyone coming together to open the current MP building after the other one unexpectedly had the roof fall in after a really bad snow storm. Farrah running around in a blow up dino costume. All of the client graduations. All the student analysts passing their BCBA exam! :)”

As our Director of Training, she’s been a foundational part of the learning opportunities she’s helped build along the way.

“A part of Sonnenberg’s growth I’m proud to be part of is developing curriculum and ongoing learning opportunities for the student analyst programs, BCBA test prep, the intern program, and continuing education supervisory trainings!”

And this is what she says people may not fully understand until they’ve spent time here:

“All of the teamwork and communication. Everyone is really coming from a place of support. We strive for everyone in every position not only to feel supported in their current role, but be excited for what can come next. There are limitless possibilities.”

A lot has changed over the years, and Brittany has had a hand in so many important parts.

Fall is starting to take over around our centers. 🎃

Pumpkins are lining the walkways, bats are making their way indoors, and a few spooky visitors have already shown up.

We’re getting everything ready for Trunk or Treat on the last Wednesday of the month, and the decorating is only the beginning. There’s still plenty more to come before then.

October is always a fun one around here, and we’re just getting started!

Jess recognizes that every client has different needs and looks for ways to make sure everyone has a chance to participate. Whether she’s running a group or adjusting an activity, she pays attention to what may be getting in the way and changes her approach so clients can stay involved and be successful. Her flexibility helps create an environment where participation isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Cha Cha makes a point of helping clients and team members feel included and giving them opportunities to succeed. She takes the time to meet clients at their individual pace and adjusts her approach based on what they need, especially when it comes to communication. She also looks for ways to help teammates grow while keeping clear professional boundaries, making her someone others can rely on without losing sight of each person’s individual needs.

🌟 Congratulations to Liz, our 6th Street STAR of the Month for Equitable Access!

Liz is thoughtful about meeting people where they are. With clients, she adjusts her pace, teaching, prompting, and activities based on what each person needs. As a Verified Trainer, she brings that same approach to staff and interviewees by changing how she explains or demonstrates something based on how the person learns best. During the move to 6th Street, Liz also spent time creating personalized materials for her clients so they would have things that felt familiar and meaningful to them.
