👑Pairing Day at Mount Pleasant looked like crowns, shaving cream, hallway laughter, and a team that was very willing to be silly on purpose!

Pairing is all about building positive relationships through shared activities, connection, and fun. It helps staff learn what each client enjoys, what feels motivating, and how to build rapport through shared moments.

It looks like it's all fun and games, but that's intentional. 😄

Celebrating 9 years with Emily O.! 🎉

Emily's story with us has been an amazing one: “When I started, we only had the basement and a small number of clients, and to think now we have multiple buildings and so many more people being serviced. It has been great to be a part of it and get to see it unfold.”

She also shared what has made that time meaningful: “One part of my Sonnenberg experience is being able to be a part of programs that do not exist at other ABA companies. I have really enjoyed being able to provide services for individuals that may not get access to services typically. It has really been a great experience being able to work with a spectrum of clients and coworkers.”

That variety is also why the work can look different from the outside: “People can often come in and see a lot of play-based activities or ‘hanging out’ with older individuals in their short interview. But getting on the floor and being on 1:1 with them, people are often times surprised on all the things we do. Our clients are provided a 1:1 to work on A LOT of things and it ranges so much from person to person because it is so individualized. At Sonnenberg we really think about the whole life span and that involves a lot more than people may think about.”

Emily, thank you for helping shape so much of what we’ve become. We’re so glad to celebrate you!

Sonnenberg will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.

One of these rooms will be ours! 👀***UPDATE! All of them are!!

Most of the rooms at the new building in Racine will become classrooms for Sonnenberg Schools . One of them will be used exclusively for our ABA services, as we work with children inside these rooms as well as in a space designed just for them!

Walking through the building makes the next chapter feel a lot more real.

We have some good news to share!

Sonnenberg’s Behavioral Health Center of Excellence accreditation has been renewed for 2026–2028.

This reflects a lot of steady work behind the scenes, from clinical standards and staff training to caregiver communication and the systems that help us support learners and families.

We’re grateful for the whole team and the care they bring every day.
