Throughout August, our Portland Clinic took on the Dime Challenge to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Each staff member had a bottle to fill with dimes, and once it was full… they got an ice bucket dumped on their head! 🥶😂

And the big “winner”? Conor! 🎉 His bottle was filled, and he earned the ultimate ice-cold reward! 😂🧊

🏈 It takes a team. ⭐

While the players make plays on the field, there’s a team on the sidelines making sure they’re ready for whatever the game brings.

Last Saturday, STAR Athletic Trainers Gary Beatty and Lauren Baes were on the sidelines with Battle Ground Academy as the Wildcats faced St. Michael’s Catholic in Fairhope, Alabama, in a game broadcast live on ESPN2.

Gary and Lauren were joined by Colin Looney, M.D., from the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee to care for the athletes and support the team throughout the game.

We’re proud to be part of the team behind the team and are ready for week 2 of Friday Night Lights! 🏈⭐

We enjoyed spending time with UTHS Department of Physical Therapy students today during our Lunch & Learn!

Our team had the opportunity to share more about STAR Physical Therapy, our culture, and the many ways we support clinician growth through mentorship, continuing education, and residency programs.

We always love connecting with future physical therapists as they prepare to enter the profession, and we appreciate the thoughtful questions and engaging conversations. 💙 Meet Lexie Rothchild, PT, DPT! 💙

We're excited to welcome Lexie to our Pleasant View team!

Lexie's journey to becoming a physical therapist began when she was 12 years old and first experienced physical therapy. Ever since then, she has dreamed of the day she would become a PT!

Lexie attended Department of Physical Therapy at Tennessee State University for her Doctor of Physical Therapy. While at TSU, she had the opportunity to complete a clinical with STAR during the summer of 2025, and she is excited to now begin her career with STAR!

Lexie is passionate about improving functional mobility, promoting healing, and helping patients get back to doing the things they love. She is also looking forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside the STAR team! ⭐

Outside of the clinic, Lexie enjoys playing volleyball, reading, line dancing, and country swing dancing. And if you ever see her talking about her corgi, Bandit, you can bet she has a picture ready to share! 🐶💙
