Ever wonder what’s actually going on inside your ear?
Now we can show you. Our new camera system lets us see right inside your ear canal, and you get to watch along on the screen with us. It’s a great way to spot wax buildup, check your ear health, and understand exactly what we’re looking at, no more just taking our word for it. Come check it out and get a look you’ve never had before.

Changing your domes and wax traps at home is easier than you might think. Here’s a quick look at how it’s done. A little upkeep like this keeps your hearing aids sounding clear and helps them last longer. Change your wax traps whenever the sound seems weaker, and your domes every month or so. If you ever get stuck or would rather have us handle it, just stop in. We’re always happy to help and show you how.

Who says hearing aids have to be boring?
These days they come in all kinds of colors, from ones that blend right in with your hair to bold picks that actually stand out. Your hearing aids should fit your life and your style, so if you want them to disappear or make a statement, the choice is yours.
Come see the options.

Tip of the week: keep your hearing aids up and away from your pets. It sounds funny, but dogs and cats chewing up hearing aids is more common than you’d think. They’re drawn to the sound, and the size makes them an easy target once they’re left on a nightstand or the arm of a chair. A curious dog can destroy a pair in seconds. When your aids aren’t in your ears, keep them in their case and set them somewhere your furry friends can’t reach.
Your ears, and your wallet, will thank you.

Rod has been playing trumpet in the Peru circus for 46 years, and this season he was right there in the band again. If you made it out to Peru this year, you know how special it is. The whole thing is put on by the community, and these performers hold world records for what they pull off under that tent and actually broke a new world record this year!

This year was extra special too. It landed right around Rod and Beth's 28th anniversary, so he played the song "Beth" just for her. 28 years together and he's still finding ways to make her smile. ❤️
Thank you, Peru. See you next summer!

After 50 years, what keeps Rod, Beth, and Callie going is the same thing that started it all, the families of Plymouth. Together, they reflect on the patients they've cared for across generations and the years still ahead. Thank you for trusting us with your hearing for half a century.

Did you know that those three little bones inside your ear are the smallest bones in your whole body?

All three would fit together on a penny with room to spare, and the tiniest, the stapes, is about the size of a grain of rice. Here's the wild part. Those specks of bone are what turn sound into something your brain can actually understand. No bones, no hearing. Fifty years in, we still think it's incredible that something that small does something that big.
Be good to them. They're doing a lot!

You know the moment. Everyone at dinner laughs and you're a half second behind, smiling like you caught it?

That little lag is one of the first signs of hearing loss, and most people ignore it for years. Here's your excuse not to. For our 50th anniversary, Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center is giving Plymouth free hearing tests, no cost, no pressure. A few minutes tells you whether you're fine or whether it's time to do something about it. And if hearing aids turn out to be the move, the ones we carry now barely resemble what you're picturing, GN ReSound technology that recharges overnight and streams straight from your phone. Fifty years of hearing care in Plymouth, and we're just getting to the good part.
