PASSED!! 👏👏👏 This gives time to come up with sensible regulations.

BREAKING: The House of Representatives has passed the Continuing Resolution 370-48 with the h**p extension intact and sent the bill to the President's desk.

Over the past several weeks, thousands of h**p advocates, farmers, businesses, consumers, veterans, and supporters took action to ensure lawmakers understood what was at stake. Because of those efforts, Congress has now approved a one-month extension of the impending federal h**p restrictions, providing valuable time to continue working toward a long-term solution.

Thank you to everyone who sent emails, made calls, signed letters, attended meetings, and shared our message.

This extension is not the finish line. It is an opportunity. We intend to use every day between now and December to advance a regulatory framework that protects consumers, prevents youth access to intoxicating products, and supports a thriving h**p industry.

Today, we celebrate what this community accomplished together. Then we get back to work.

Tell them: "Please ensure the upcoming Continuing Resolution includes a two-year extension of the Section 781 h**p implementation date, from November 12, 2026 to November 12, 2028.

Without this extension, an estimated 95 percent of today's lawful h**p products become unlawful on November 12, cutting off millions of Americans, including veterans and seniors, from products they rely on and disrupting farmers, retailers, and small businesses in our state.

The White House has asked Congress, at minimum, for an extension while bipartisan work on a permanent framework is completed. Please make sure the extension is in the CR."

Today or tomorrow, the Senate might vote on an amendment offered by Senator Ted Budd that would remove the h**p extension from the Continuing Resolution to keep government open. If adopted, this amendment would eliminate the temporary protection included in the Senate funding package and put the h**p industry back on track for a sweeping federal h**p ban scheduled to take effect on November 12.

That's why we need every H**p Supporter to take action today.

Today, Senate leaders released a continuing resolution (CR) to keep government operating that includes some great news: if passed, the moratorium on the h**p ban would be extended from November 12 to December 11. The latter date is when the new CR expires and government funding would need to be extended once again so that expiration would provide another opportunity for a more extensive h**p fix. Only a ban on pure synthetic products will go into effect in November -- welcome news for h**p farmers, small businesses, retailers, manufacturers, and consumers across the country.

We are grateful to bipartisan coalition of lawmakers who worked to ensure the h**p industry was not left behind in these critical funding negotiations - Leader John Thune , Senator Chuck Schumer , Senator Amy Klobuchar , Tim Sheehy. We are also thankful to President Trump , whose White House has been supportive of this dialogue.

This is an important step forward, but it is not the finish line. Both the Senate and the House must still approve the legislation, and Congress will soon resume debate over h**p's long-term future. The U.S. H**p Roundtable remains committed to securing a permanent solution that protects consumers while preserving a thriving h**p industry.
