This Saturday, our Performing Arts Fire Choir is headed to the Blueberry Festival, and we want to see our community there cheering them on!

These performers have been practicing, preparing and getting ready to share what they love with all of you. Now it’s time to fill the crowd and show them some support!

Our participants are going to LOVE having these snacks at camp. Donations like this help us check another item off our camp list and make sure everyone is ready for a fun week ahead.

We Have BIG News to Share!

MSDC has earned an EXEMPLARY rating in our 2026 Supported Employment+ Fidelity Review!

MSDC received a score of 55 out of 60, placing our organization in the highest category of the SE+ Fidelity Scale.

And this isn't just a score.

The review looks closely at how employment services are actually delivered, including individualized job searches, competitive employment, community-based services, ongoing supports, employer diversity and whether people who want to work are given the opportunity to pursue employment.

The reviewers recognized MSDC for tremendous growth in employment services and highlighted several areas of strength, including:
• Zero Exclusion
• Individualized Job Search
• Competitive Employment
• Ongoing Work-Based Assessment
• Diversity of Job Types and Employers
• Individualized Follow-Along Supports
• Community-Based Services

One finding we're especially proud of: all placements reviewed were competitive and integrated.

This achievement reflects years of work, collaboration and a belief that people with disabilities deserve real opportunities to choose employment and build careers in their communities.

We especially want to recognize Ginger Moore, Director of Employment Services and SE+ Lead, for her leadership and commitment to strengthening employment opportunities at MSDC.

And to our Employment Consultants, staff, community employers, Vocational Rehabilitation partners and, most importantly, the participants who trust us to support their employment goals: this accomplishment belongs to all of you.

We are proud of how far we've come, and we're not finished.

Employment is more than a job. It is choice, independence, confidence and belonging.

💵 Coffee, Conversation & a Little Bingo!

A big thank you to First Federal Savings Bank for spending time with our participants at MSDC!

Jordan and Jennifer brought in some unique money that can be ordered through the bank, shared some helpful banking terms, and then put everyone’s new knowledge to the test with a fun game of BINGO!

And of course, you can’t have Bingo without prizes! Our winners went home with some First Federal Savings Bank merch. 🙌

The need doesn't end with a denial.

Every day, individuals with disabilities rely on services that provide transportation, employment support, community involvement, and opportunities to live independently.

When a Medicaid waiver is delayed or denied, the uncertainty doesn't just affect paperwork. It affects real people, real families, and real lives.

That's why we created This Is The Need.

This campaign is about building a community safety net. It's about making sure that when uncertainty happens, we're prepared to continue supporting the people who depend on us while families navigate the appeals process and what's next.

This is a step forward. But the uncertainty isn't over.

Indiana lawmakers are calling for a pause to Medicaid waiver denials after concerns were raised about how families are being affected. That gives many families hope.

But here's the question we can't stop asking:

What happens if someone is still denied?

They don't stop needing support.

They still need transportation to work.

They still need a safe place to live.

They still need day services, employment support, and the opportunity to live as independently as possible.

They are still people.

At MSDC, we're preparing for what comes next. That's why we launched This Is The Need.

We're building a safety net so we can continue supporting individuals while denials are appealed and families navigate an uncertain process. Community support can help bridge that gap when funding alone isn't enough.
