This past weekend, some of our ITS therapists had the opportunity to complete the MNRI® Visual & Auditory Reflex Integration course with Dr. Leah Light, Au.D., an audiologist from South Florida who specializes in MNRI👂👀 This workshop makes the 6th MNRI course that ITS has hosted in northeast AR!

Our visual and auditory systems do so much more than help us see and hear—they work together with the nervous system to help us process our environment, regulate, focus, learn, move, and respond to the world around us.

Throughout this training, our therapists explored the connection between visual and auditory reflexes, sensory processing, regulation, movement, and learning while gaining hands-on techniques designed to support integration of these foundational systems.

We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our team to continue expanding our knowledge and bringing new tools and perspectives back to the children and families we serve💙

Learning never stops at Integrated Therapy Services! 🧠

This weekend, we had the privilege of hosting MNRI® Oral-Facial Reflex Integration Level 1 right here in Pocahontas! This makes our 5th MNRI course that we have brought to northeast AR🤩

We were excited to welcome MNRI Instructor Amy Cameron all the way from North Carolina to lead this incredible training. Amy provided our team with a wealth of knowledge, hands-on learning, and practical techniques that we’re excited to begin incorporating into our therapy sessions! 👄💪🏻🗣️

This specialized training explored how oral-facial reflexes influence:
👶 Feeding & swallowing
🗣️ Speech & communication
🧠 Brain development
💙 Emotional regulation
👀 Sensory processing
🤸 Motor coordination

☀️ Summer at ITS is BUSY BUSY and we are so thankful for all of our amazing families! ☀️

With our waiting room staying extra full this summer, we wanted to offer another option for families who may feel more comfortable waiting in the car before therapy sessions. 🚗💛

You are always welcome to wait in your car with your child, and your therapist will come outside to get them when it’s time for their session!

If it’s a few minutes past the hour or you’ve been waiting awhile, feel free to call or text the clinic to let us know your child is waiting in the car so we can make sure we’re looking for them.
