Meet the Doctor! Michael Choi, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon at Rockland Thoracic & Vascular Associates, with offices in Pomona, Goshen, and Fishkill, New York, as well as in Englewood, New Jersey.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Choi graduated in 1996 from New York University’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City after attending the State University of New York, Albany, for his undergraduate studies.

Dr. Choi has always been interested in becoming a surgeon and completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He later returned there to complete a vascular surgery fellowship.

While Dr. Choi is highly experienced in all areas of thoracic and vascular surgery, he is especially interested in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, carotid stenosis, dialysis access, aortic aneurysms, and varicose veins.

Away from work at Rockland Thoracic & Vascular Associates, Dr. Choi serves as chief of endovascular surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York, and is director of the hospital’s vascular lab. He speaks English and Korean.Dr. Choi has been selected to Castle Connolly’s best Vascular Surgeons for many years.
