Unhappy with how your filler looks, or how it’s sitting in your face? You might be dealing with migration, and here’s how to check.
Gently squeeze the lip. If you feel or see white, firm tissue under the surface, that’s likely filler that has moved, not natural tissue. We want every patient to understand what’s actually happening in their own face, not just take our word for it.
We saw this firsthand with a recent patient. Instead of dissolving everything and starting over, we used ultrasound to target only the migrated filler while preserving the shape she liked. Precision over demolition.
The result: her lips kept their integrity and looked fuller than before, because we cleaned up what wasn’t working instead of wiping the slate clean.
This is the difference between filler correction as an art versus a quick fix. If your lips feel firmer or look different than they used to, it’s worth getting a professional opinion, not guessing.
