We were so glad to have KFVS12 out to tell this story. 💛

Access to care shouldn’t depend on how far you live from a doctor’s office, and that’s exactly what this mobile unit is here to change for women and families across Southeast Missouri.

We are here to offer support, education, screenings, and primary care, and to help connect women to the OB/GYN services available at Missouri Highlands Health Care

We’re not seeing patients just yet, but we can’t wait, follow along and we’ll let you know the moment it’s here.

Watch the full story below, and share it with someone you know👇

The unit, operated by Mission Mobile Medical, features two private exam rooms equipped to serve prenatal, postpartum and primary care patients >>> https://shorturl.at/0jb4Q

There’s a lot of road between small towns out here.

And for a long time, that distance has been part of the reason care felt out of reach for so many families in our area.

We’re changing that. The Missouri Highlands Mobile Clinic is getting ready to bring care closer to the people and places we already love. No long trips. No making a whole day of it. Just care, a little closer to home.

We’re not seeing patients just yet, but we’re getting close and we can’t wait!

Follow along so you’ll know exactly when we start seeing patients and where we’ll be.

Getting care shouldn’t mean a long drive, a day off work, or miles between you and the help you need.

That’s why the Missouri Highlands Mobile Clinic exists, to bring care closer to the people and places that need it most.

Maternal care. Women’s health. Behavioral health. Primary care. All in one place, closer to home.

In Missouri, women living in areas with the least access have to travel more than 3.5 times farther just to reach maternity care.

For a lot of families around here, that distance is the difference between getting seen and putting it off.

We’re working to close that gap, one community at a time.

Follow along for updates on where the clinic will be next, and share this with someone who could use care a little closer to home. 🤰🏼

Something special happened in Poplar Bluff this week.

Missouri Highlands Health Care celebrated the ribbon-cutting for their new Care Connect Mobile Unit, a clinic on wheels bringing primary, prenatal, maternal, and behavioral health care right into the heart of Southeast Missouri.

And the community showed up: the City of Poplar Bluff named June 9 “Women’s Mobile Healthcare Initiative Day.”

For so many families, especially women juggling care for everyone else, the hardest part of staying healthy is simply getting there. This unit helps change that.

Made possible alongside Aetna Better Health of Missouri and the Global Mobile Healthcare Research Consortium, it’s a real step toward care that’s closer to home.

This weekend was a big one for us!

The Missouri Highlands Mobile Clinic rolled out to its very first event at the Bluff All-American Weekend, celebrating America’s 250th birthday alongside nearly 13,500 neighbors.

Monster trucks, food trucks, a hot dog eating contest, and a beautiful reading of the Declaration of Independence on the square, it was a weekend made for families, and we were honored to be part of it.

But the best part? Getting to meet so many of you face to face. Because that’s what this clinic is all about: care that comes to your community, so being seen doesn’t mean traveling far.

This is just the beginning. 🤍

Follow along for updates on where the clinic will be next.

The Missouri Highlands Mobile Clinic is here, and it's bringing care closer to home.❤️

We just celebrated our ribbon cutting, and now we can't wait to meet you in the community.

This mobile clinic was created to make it easier for families in Southeast Missouri to get the care they need, without traveling far to be seen.

Here's what the clinic connects you to:

🩺 Maternal care
🩺 Women's health
🩺 Behavioral health
🩺 Primary care

Mark your calendar: On June 29, we'll be at Town and Country Grocery in Piedmont for our community launch.

It's open to everyone, come tour the clinic, say hello, and grab educational materials on women's, maternal, and mental health.

This work is made possible through a partnership between Aetna Better Health of Missouri, the Global Mobile Healthcare Research Consortium (a nonprofit supported by Mission Mobile Medical), and Missouri Highlands Health Care.
