It's Event Day! Time for a Rubber Duck Pluck Out of Wilder Pick Up Trucks!

This year the event will be held at the Port Angeles City Pier Stage and will be held as a duck pluck out of Wilder Toyota pickup trucks.

The event schedule will be as follows:
11:45 AM: THE EDIE BECK KIDS PAVILION OPENS
Opening at 11:45 AM there will be a Kid's Pavilion where kids can participate in arts and crafts activities, face painting, and games.

11:45 AM: BUB & ALICE OLSEN'S VID PARTY OPENS
Held inside the Red Lion overlooking the water, a special party for VID buyers.

1:15 PM: VID DUCK PLUCK
The duck plucking will open with the VIDs (Very Important Ducks) as we pluck three lucky winners of the big VID ducks.

1:30 PM: MAIN DUCK PLUCK
Starting with prize number 37, each duck will be plucked from a different Wilder Auto pick up truck and be announced in reverse order, with the final winner announced being the winner of the Toyota Corolla from Wilder Toyota!

Huge congratulations to Port Angeles’ own Gail Ralston! 🦆🏆

Gail just made history for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation by selling her 37,489th duck, breaking the all-time individual sales record. Fittingly, the record-breaking ticket was sold to local legend and the official voice of Ducks Scooter Chapman!

You can catch this iconic duo selling tickets at Swain’s General Store this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come say hi, get a hug, and grab your ducks before the big race this Sunday at the City Pier.

Port Angeles woman breaks duck sales record

It's the final weekend for Duck Derby sales! Hurry in before you miss your chance to win a 2026 Toyota Corolla from Wilder Auto.

Last years winner Colleen Williams got her winning duck the last week at Safeway!

You can adopt a duck today at all Safeway stores in Sequim and Port Angeles, Swains, Wilder Auto in Port Angeles, Sound Community Bank, and First Fed.

It will be a family affair again this year at the 37th Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby, and everyone is invited to partake in the festivities surrounding the main event, especially the kids.

Each year the Kid’s Pavilion becomes an entertaining place for children in the community, providing them with arts and craft supplies and a location on race day where play games, win prizes, or meet the big duck.

The Kid’s Pavilion is now named after Edie Beck, the winner of the 2009 Top Duck Award and a volunteer for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation for over 30 years. The Pavilion opens at 11:45 with fun for children of all ages

It is the last week to adopt your ducks for the 2026 Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby!

You can adopt a duck daily at all Safeway stores in Sequim and Port Angeles, Swains, Sound Community Bank, Wilder Auto in Port Angeles, and First Fed.

Each duck ticket costs $7. For $35, adopters receive an extra duck (six chances to win) in the race. The top prize is a Toyota Corolla donated by Wilder Toyota.

This year, the race will take place at the Port Angeles City Pier Stage, and it will still feature the exciting "Duck Pluck" out of Wilder pickup trucks.

Tickets go on sale this Friday morning for the 37th Annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby!

Join us on May 17 as thousands of yellow ducks are plucked for a chance to win amazing prizes. The grand prize for the first-place finisher in the main event is a brand new 2026 Toyota Corolla, generously donated by Wilder Toyota! 🚗✨ Now in its 37th year, there are 37 fantastic prizes up for grabs, all donated by local businesses.

Every duck you adopt benefits the Olympic Medical Center, funding needed equipment, the OMC Cancer Center, the Cardiac Services Department, and the OMC Healthcare Scholarship fund.

Single Duck: $7
Quack Pack: $35 for 6 ducks!
