A record-breaking evening for local cancer care! 💥

Together, we raised $469,500 at the 24th annual Harvest of Hope at Club NOVA at 7 Cedars, setting a new fundraising record for this event in support of Olympic Medical Center’s cancer patients.

The evening honored the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe with the Rick Kaps Award for its contributions to healthcare and our community. We also heard from cancer survivor Scott Atherton, who shared his personal experience with the disease. Additional fundraising supported OMC’s Patient Navigator Program and Healthcare Scholarship Fund.

Thank you to everyone who attended, gave, volunteered, or helped make this evening possible. We’re especially grateful to our event sponsors, whose support allows all other proceeds to go directly to the cancer center.

“The community here that’s invested in me, I want to be able to invest back.”

Joseph Gallegos started in the kitchen at Olympic Medical Center. After moving into diagnostic imaging as a transporter, Joseph became interested in pursuing the work himself. The cost of school was a hurdle, but support from the OMC Foundation’s Healthcare Scholarship Fund helped him move forward.

His story is one example of what support for the Foundation’s Healthcare Scholarship Fund makes possible. 🩺

An evening at Harvest of Hope, with a reminder from Brianna Carr of what community support makes possible.

Born and raised locally, Brianna has worked at OMC for eight years as an ICU telemetry nurse. She’s now studying to become a nurse practitioner through Gonzaga University, with support from the OMC Foundation’s Healthcare Scholarship Fund helping ease the financial pressure of working while attending school full time.

Carnival games, live Brazilian music, and plenty of dancing made this year’s Hog Wild a night to remember! 🎪💃

More than 300 guests joined us at Civic Field, and together, we raised $88,000 for the OMC Children’s Clinic and the OMC Foundation Scholarship Fund. Thank you to everyone who attended, gave, volunteered, or helped bring Carnival in Rio to life.

We’re especially grateful to presenting sponsors North Olympic Healthcare Network and Kitsap Bank, and to all of our event sponsors for their support.

As we look back at the evening, hear from event chair and OMC Foundation executive board member Karen Rogers and Cancer Center patient navigator Julie Carlson about what your support makes possible, from everyday comforts during treatment to help navigating medication costs and financial assistance.

Out on the course at the Sonny Sixkiller Celebrity Golf Classic! ⛳️
