VHOCC Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County VHOCC offers compassionate care for the terminally ill, their caregivers and families since 1978.

The mission of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families with free around the clock registered nursing availability and trained volunteers. This support enables patients to live out their final days as fully and comfortably as possible. Ongoing grief support services are also offered to the familie

s and to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one. Since its inception in 1978, all services have been provided free of charge to patients and their families; VHOCC does not bill any government agency for its services.

We’re looking for an RN with the clinical skills to manage complex care and the compassion to remember there is always a person and family at the center of it.

Our ideal Hospice & Palliative Care RN Case Manager brings:

• An active Washington RN license and BLS
• At least one year of hospice or palliative care experience
• Strong clinical judgment and care coordination skills
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A deeply patient- and family-centered approach

The position is 30–40 hours/week, with care provided primarily in patients’ homes from Diamond Point to Joyce.

Hospice RN Case Management is about much more than completing a nursing visit. Our RN Case Managers help bring all the pieces of a patient’s care together.

They:
• Manage and coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Provide direct clinical care and symptom management
• Educate and support patients and caregivers
• Collaborate with providers, families, and community partners
• Help patients and families navigate end-of-life transitions with compassion and confidence

It takes strong clinical judgment. It takes independence. It takes teamwork. And it takes a nurse who understands that sometimes presence and listening are every bit as important as clinical intervention.

We’re looking for that nurse.

What makes nursing at VHOCC different?

VHOCC operates under a rare model of hospice care. We do not bill patients, Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance. Our care is made possible through the generosity of our community.

For our clinical team, that means the focus remains where it belongs: providing excellent care to patients and families.

Our nurses have significant clinical autonomy while working within a supportive, collaborative team. They can develop meaningful relationships with patients and families and help people experience greater comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Hospice & Palliative Care RN Case Manager to join our team.

Congratulations to Linda E., winner of VHOCC’s beautiful summer quilt! Her lucky ticket was drawn on August 31.

Linda told us she plans to give the quilt to a dear friend who she knows will truly appreciate it.

Also, a very special thank you to the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club, whose talented and generous members donated this beautiful handmade quilt to VHOCC. We are so grateful for the time, creativity, and care they put into their work and for sharing it in support of VHOCC and our community.
