This week has felt heavy.

Last weekend, I learned of the passing of a theater colleague. For those who don't know, pre-Meg from the Egg, I spent a lot of time treading the boards of Long Island theaters. I hadn't seen Steve in almost two decades, but at one point in my life I spent so much time with him.

Then two days later, I learned of the passing of one of my college friends. A woman I also hadn't seen in almost two decades, but someone who was with me almost daily for the years of my life when I stepped into who I was meant to be.

And the next day, I learned that Glen Hansard passed. An Irishman I never met, but whose music resonated with something deep within me.

The outpouring of love and tributes has moved me to tears too often to count this week. But it makes me wonder: why don't we share these thoughts with people while they're still with us? Do we not realize how they've impacted our lives until they've crossed the veil?

So my goal is to let people know how wonderful they are while they're still here to receive it. Because you are wonderful, and you make my life better. 💕
