One of my favorite IV therapies doesn't get nearly enough attention: phosphatidylcholine.

Phosphatidylcholine is a major building block of every cell membrane in your body. Think of it as helping your cells communicate, repair, and function the way they're supposed to.

It also plays an important role in liver health, brain function, healthy aging, and the way your body transports fats and cholesterol.

In fact, phosphatidylcholine is involved in reverse cholesterol transport—one of the body's natural ways of moving excess cholesterol back to the liver for processing.

No, it's not a magic bullet.

But supporting your cells at the most basic level can have a surprisingly powerful impact on how you feel.

Sometimes better health starts with helping your cells do their job.

Have you ever heard of phosphatidylcholine?

Men — your medications might be lowering your testosterone.

You’re going to the gym.
Trying to eat better.
Pushing through fatigue.

But your energy is off.
Your recovery takes forever.
Your drive isn’t where it used to be.

And a lot of men never stop to ask:
“What if some of my medications are part of the problem?”

Some common medications can affect hormone production, signaling, recovery, libido, and overall performance:

→ Statins/cholesterol meds
→ Sleep medications
→ Antidepressants
→ Acid reflux medications
→ Certain hair loss medications

That does NOT mean these medications are “bad.”
And it definitely does not mean you should stop them on your own.

But it DOES mean you should understand how they may be affecting your body.

I see a lot of men who are told their labs are “fine,” while they’re dealing with:
• low motivation
• poor recovery
• brain fog
• decreased libido
• loss of strength
• fatigue

Sometimes there’s more going on under the surface than people realize.

That’s why our Men's Wellness Consultation looks at the full picture:
→ hormones
→ metabolic health
→ recovery
→ nutrition
→ sleep
→ medications
→ lifestyle factors

The goal isn’t to take you off everything.
The goal is to understand what’s working against you and create a strategy that actually supports your body.

You do not have to accept feeling “off” as part of getting older.

PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS
(Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) - a shift meant to better reflect what the condition actually is: a complex hormonal + metabolic disorder, not just “ovarian cysts.”

Why the change matters:
• Many people with PCOS don’t even have cysts
• The old name minimized the metabolic side (insulin resistance, diabetes risk, cardiovascular risk)
• PMOS highlights that this condition affects multiple body systems - endocrine, metabolic, reproductive, and mental health

What stays the same:
• Symptoms
• Diagnostic criteria (for now)
• Need for individualized treatment

What may improve:
• Earlier diagnosis
• Less stigma/confusion
• Better research + broader care beyond fertility alone

Bottom line:
This isn’t just a “name change.” It’s medicine finally recognizing PMOS/PCOS as a whole-body condition.

Estrogen Dominance vs. Estrogen Deficiency in Perimenopause

In early perimenopause, estrogen doesn’t decline in a steady line.

It surges and drops unpredictably.

One cycle may bring unusually high estrogen levels. The next may bring a sharp decline. Some women even experience both patterns within the same month.

That’s why symptoms during this stage can feel so confusing.

When estrogen temporarily spikes, you may notice:

→ Heavy or irregular bleeding
→ Breast tenderness
→ Bloating
→ Anxiety or irritability

These symptoms often reflect estrogen dominance relative to progesterone. That's why adding more estrogen at that moment can actually make the problem worse.

But other times, estrogen drops significantly. When that happens, the symptoms look different:

→ Hot flashes
→ Night sweats
→ Vaginal dryness
→ Brain fog

That’s when estrogen support is helpful.

The challenge is that many treatment approaches assume perimenopause symptoms can be solved with one standard prescription.

But perimenopause isn’t static. Your hormone patterns are shifting month to month.

In our practice, we track your cycle patterns, bleeding changes, symptom timing, and hormone signals before deciding how to intervene.

Sometimes you need progesterone support.
Sometimes estrogen.
Sometimes both.
And sometimes your system needs support without adding either hormone.

Your treatment should match your biology in that moment, not a generic protocol.

☑️ Let’s build a plan around your actual estrogen patterns.

What if perimenopause care focused on more than just symptom management?

In clinical practice, comprehensive approaches often address the underlying signaling systems—not just hormone levels.

This is where peptide therapy enters the conversation.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body.

Different peptides influence different processes:

→ CJC/Ipamorelin may support sleep and preserve muscle

→ BPC-157 has been studied for its effects on gut inflammation and joint resilience

→ MOTS-c may improve metabolic flexibility and enhance fat loss

→ GHK-Cu may support skin structure and elasticity

This isn’t biohacking. It's about combining:
➡️ Hormone optimization
➡️ Peptide signaling support
➡️ Metabolic and lifestyle interventions
for strategic synergy.

The goal isn't just replacement—it's supporting the body's capacity to repair, adapt, and maintain function.
