Position: Full-Time or Part Time Instructor & Volunteer Coordinator
Victory Hill Therapeutic Horsemanship in Greenville (Port Jervis), New York (Orange County) is seeking a Full time or Part-Time Instructor (ESMHL & CTRI) & Volunteer Coordinator to join our dynamic, caring, and compassionate team!
As a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Member Center, Victory Hill is a rapidly growing equine-assisted services program offering transformative experiences for people of all abilities and strengths.

🐴 What You’ll Do
-Plan and conduct Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) lessons with children and adults (mounted and unmounted)
-Assist with or instruct beginner and therapeutic riding lessons
-Coordinate, schedule, and train our amazing volunteers
-Attend community events to build relationships with prospective volunteers, clients, and supporters
-Educate clients and caregivers about additional resources and supports
-Follow PATH Intl. safety standards at all times
-Build connected relationships with each horse in our herd
⏰ Schedule
25- 40 hours per week
Monday–Friday approximately 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 2-7pm for part time.
One Saturday per month (May–October only) 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
💵 Compensation
$22-25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
✔ Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
-Caring, compassionate, and patient with both horses and people
-PATH Intl. ESMHL and CTRI certified, or willing to become certified (MUST be 21 or older)
-Experienced with horses (2+ years preferred)
-Passionate about working with children and adults with special needs
-Organized, motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
-Skilled in communication, volunteer coordination, and relationship-building
-Comfortable using Microsoft Office, social media, and online tools
Bonus qualifications include:
-Experience in an Equine Assisted Services program
-Training through the Natural Lifemanship Institute
-Experience with Google Workspace for Nonprofits
This role requires someone who is physically active, positive, and enthusiastic, able to walk for several hours in the arena, handle horses, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
