Notice of Service Hours Change for the Ozaukee County SRT 2026
Notice of Public Hearing to Consider Proposed Changes to Service Hours for the Ozaukee County Shared-Ride Taxi
Notice is hereby given that the Ozaukee County Public Works Committee will hold a public hearing at 8:00 a.m. on August 20, 2026, at the Ozaukee County Highway Department, 410 South Spring Street, Port Washington, Wisconsin, to receive comments regarding proposed changes to the service hours of the Ozaukee County Shared-Ride Taxi. If approved, the proposed hours would take effect October 1, 2026
The Ozaukee County Public Works Committee will provide interested persons and agencies an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed service hour changes. Comments may also be submitted in writing by August,18 2026

Transportation to the public hearing may be provided for elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities by calling the Ozaukee County Shared-Ride Taxi at 262-284-8294.
Public comments are heard by the Ozaukee County Public Works Committee and considered before any changes are made. Committee members will review all comments received before making a recommendation, and the proposed service hour changes may be modified based on public input.
Current Service Hours
Monday through Friday: 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Proposed Service Hours
Monday through Friday: 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Reason for the Proposed Changes
The proposed service hour changes are intended to better align service with current ridership patterns and improve service efficiency. The County will consider all public comments before making a final decision on the proposed service hour changes.
