Whenever I do a tattoo inspired by a song 🎶 I always listen to the song and the band while drawing. Same with movies or shows. I might not always know what the song means to you specifically because as humans we impart meaning in tangential ways, but I can at least try to inspire the desire. Thanks for your trust Polly!

Rose City Comic Con 2026! What a blast! Thank you to everyone who came out to look at our booth, buy our stickers and get tattooed! Truly a wild ride and I’m so glad to have been able to do it with my partner in crime Grace Marie AND a huge thank you to everyone that participated in our raffle! It was your help that got us here and we couldn’t be more grateful 🥰
Looking forward to doing more events and conventions! Which event would you like to see us at next???

This was my experience but I suspect it’s not unique. Now I tattoo in Oregon where apprenticeships are rare because of the school system and OHLO requirements. However, new artists at shops still look to more experienced artists for help and feedback. I know when I was fresh out of school and working at Black Hole I turned Michael and Brianne into unwilling mentors and I value what they taught me to this day, six years later.
