I spend my days talking about skincare, tools, technique… all very professional.

And then I come upstairs and find my BK Beauty brushes… in her mouth.

Apparently she doesn’t realize that they’re high-quality makeup brushes…She thinks they’re chew toys” 😂😭😅

To be fair… they are soft…..
And she is very cute.
So now we’re at a bit of a standstill.

Brush hygiene is important.
Puppy boundaries… still in development.

Tell me I’m not alone… what has your pet destroyed that made you question everything?

2 weeks! That’s how long you should wait before resuming at-home devices after getting Botox.

These are the “worth it” items from the ULTA Sale. They are all 50% off today.
Nutshell:
I know Drunk Elephant has gotten a bad rap lately but this vitamin C is GOOD! Why?
A solid ascorbic acid (vitamin C) base paired with ferulic acid and vitamin E for that classic antioxidant trio that helps stabilize vitamin C and boost photoprotection. You’ve also got licorice root for brightening and calming, plus fermented extracts (pumpkin and pomegranate) that support gentle enzymatic renewal.

Hydration is layered with glycerin and multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, while marula oil and green tea add barrier support and antioxidant protection. Bonus points for PHA (gluconolactone) and emblica (amla) for extra antioxidant and mild exfoliating benefits.

Translation: brightening vitamin C serum… but with backup singers.

The MAC mascara is the BEST for lower lashes! It’s tubing so no raccoon eyes and the wand is tiny- a big love of mine.

The Angie Hot & Flashy brush is TWELVE DOLLARS today!! It’s such a fantastic brush 😍😍😍

I wear shade 3 in the MB Blunder cover cream makeup. A long time fave.

Farmacy cleansing balm is one of the OG best first cleanse. Great to get it on sale.

Check out my full YouTube video for things I DON’T recommend (equally important) 💙💙

Meet the ingredient quietly doing the most for stressed-out skin: ectoin.

Ectoin is a small molecule originally discovered in microorganisms that live in extreme environments like salt lakes and deserts. These little survivalists produce ectoin to protect themselves from dehydration, heat, UV radiation, and environmental stress.

And when we put ectoin in skincare, it basically does the same thing for our skin.

Think of ectoin as a cell bodyguard + hydration magnet.

Here’s what it can do:

• Strengthens the skin barrier
Ectoin helps stabilize cell membranes and protects proteins and lipids in the skin. Translation: a stronger, more resilient barrier.

• Deep hydration support
It binds water and creates what scientists call a hydration shell around cells, helping skin hold onto moisture longer.

• Helps calm inflammation
Ectoin has been shown to reduce inflammatory stress in the skin, which is great for sensitive, reactive, or post-procedure skin.

• Protection from environmental stress
Pollution, UV exposure, heat, and dryness all create oxidative stress. Ectoin helps protect skin cells from that damage.

• Plays nicely with actives
Using retinoids, exfoliating acids, or vitamin C? Ectoin can help cushion the skin and support barrier recovery.

I like to think of ectoin as a skin resilience ingredient.

Honestly… it’s the skincare version of the friend who brings snacks, sunscreen, and a first aid kit on every trip (🙋‍♀️ I always bring snacks…who’s that friend in your friend group?)

Well, your skin loves that friend.

If you’ve tried ectoin in a product, tell me below. I’m curious what formulas you’re seeing it in lately. 👇
