To all of you out there, a Happy Fourth of July and a Happy *Interdependence* Day! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

I know this last year and a half has been a strange and rough one, yet because of all these difficulties, now more than ever, it is incumbent upon us to come together as communities and neighbors to support one another in new and profound ways. We have a powerful opportunity to look out for each other and to take care of one another--we have an opportunity to fundamentally shift how we've interacted and operated with one another. If not now, when?

It is my aspiration that from the bottom up, and the top down, we and our political leaders practice our Compassion, Love, and Wisdom--look out for people as the supreme intention, and not as an occasional byproduct from seeking other means.

So I challenge us all, reach out to a friend/loved one--perhaps someone you haven't connected with in a long time--and arrange time with them, physically or otherwise. Offer them some coffee/tea, go on a walk, catch up and share your stories. Be heard and listened to; strengthen connections. From all of these growing pains we've been going through, let's learn from them and practice profound ways of cherishing one another.

It is my aspiration that we come together as a loving and respectful nation, a place where on the personal and individual level we continue to strive to raise one another up--and to cease practicing the opposite. From the large acts to the very subtle. I know we can do better. I know we can do this.

I believe in America, and I believe in US.

The service I provide is a client-driven professional partnership, that all begins with a free, one hour consultation. This is where we'd introduce ourselves: I'd talk in depth about my background, you'd talk about what you're looking for, and we'd decide if we want to work together moving forward. There are no subscriptions or commitments.

One such avenue is Meditation & Mindfulness Teaching.
For over 6 years I have studied and practiced Buddhism under the direct and indirect guidance of an authentic Dzogchen Vajra Master from Tibet, and for 3 years I have been certified to teach Dharma within this lineage. Through this experience I have been given a myriad of tools to increase mindfulness, awareness, and stability during calm and stressful moments alike.

If you're wanting to setup meditation workshops or begin a wholistic mindfulness journey, I am pleased to accommodate your needs. I can teach you the intention and purpose of practicing meditation in the unique way I've been introduced, as well as help you create a daily/weekly curriculum personalized to your needs to help you train your mind and help you create contentment in your daily life.

~Our challenges are impermanent~

While it may be true that the joys and the fun and the "good times" are fleeting in this life, we should also recognize that our challenges and stressors and tragedies are, too, impermanent--and shift our focus here with this understanding in mind.

With mind-training, through utilizing mindfulness and awareness techniques, (such as meditation, goal-setting, coaching, etc.) one can stabilize their daily experience--and how they react to it--resulting in "good times" that are even more fulfilling, and challenges whose valleys get shallower and shallower.

Fear not, for our challenging moments are indeed impermanent.

~Reshaping your brain to think more positively~

The trick to moving about your experience gracefully is to train your brain to think more positively.

More often than not, a negative (or bullying or harmful or destructive) thought to yourself is a *narrative*--and not a truth:
"I'm not beautiful", I'm worthless", "If only I had what they have", "I can't make a difference", "I'm just an angry person, there's no changing that"...

These are all fictions. We need to work on lessening this senseless deprecation.
You are not a "thing", you are a *process*. And that process can change--and I'm here to provide tools so you can help make positive and powerful changes to your thinking. Powerful and positive changes to your life.

What are the results of cultivating a mindfulness practice?

The results of practicing mindfulness are *countless*.
Many results are subtle changes that, accumulated over time, can have profound impacts on one's life.

Such results may include having an easier time focusing, staying grounded in the present (not focusing on the past or worrying about the future), stabilizing an overactive mind (or what I call quieting the internal "chatter"), being less clumsy and more aware, communicating what you mean to (and doing so more confidently and effectively), experiencing emotions but not reacting unskillfully because of them--and so much more.

As one focuses on stabilizing the busy-ness of their mind (their thinking), like a rippling in a pond slowing to a stop--one's mind, and by extension everyday experience, will relax.

What *is* mindfulness?

Mindfulness can be a very ambiguous word these days, and mean many things to many people--but consider this:

Simply defined, mindfulness is ensuring one's intention is smoothly and completely translated into action.
