Join us at the shop in the heat of July (we have AC folks!) while we are visited by .cultus for a full weekend of workshops during Melissaโs visit to Portland. She will also be offering tarot readings during open hours through her visit.

Her readings are conversational and exploratory, guiding each question as it leads deeper into the next. She shares details of her analysis in a way that is easy to understand, inviting querents to examine the cards for themselves, which can be chosen from a small selection of art decks. โ

Our friend Sylvia Friday, aka Woodland Weaver returns for a sweet midsummer themed weaving workshop. Come celebrate the dark moon and weave your dreams into a wild-harvested cattail 9-11 strand plait. Bring some of your favorite fresh high summer plants (yarrow, rose, iris leaves, dandelion stems, juncus, daylily, etc). Stems of these plants can be woven into your plait; flowers can be incorporated too! We will weave their summertime magic into the plait. You will learn basic techniques and patterns with the freedom to explore your personal style and creativity.
And lastly, Madrone will host another intimate plant spirit journey with dear Yarrow. Being an herbalist, gardener, or plant person is not only about practically working with plants, but includes building a relationship with them. During this two hour intimate circle, we will sip on fresh tea together before we journey to meet the spirit of the plant. This non-entheogenic trance space is meant to be one wherein folks can explore their innate intuitive capacities, build or deepen relationships with the plants themselves, and share their experiences with other practicing folks.
