Executive Advisor | Leadership & Organizational Transformation

With more than 40 years of experience in leadership, mentorship, and organizational transformation, Dr. Graham. brings a wealth of real-world perspective to the table. After beginning his career in New York’s garment industry, he spent nearly two decades with Nike, taking on leadership roles across North America and Europe.

His career continued through executive leadership positions with Speedo North America, Quiksilver, and Easton Diamond Sports before moving into private-equity-backed organizations, where he helped leaders navigate change, improve performance, and build long-term value. Throughout it all, Dr. Graham has remained passionate about the power of trust, mentorship, and strong leadership.

Today, Dr. Graham is the founder of Mulrennan Advisory Partners in Bend, Oregon, where he advises and mentors leaders and growing organizations. His work has also extended into education and workforce development through Central Oregon Community College, reflecting his commitment to strengthening both organizations and communities. 🌲

Dermatologist | Program Director, Frontier Dermatology Residency Program

A proud Oregon native, Dr. Shangraw knew she wanted to come home. After earning her medical degree at OHSU, she completed her dermatology training at the University of Colorado, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by two years practicing with Kaiser Permanente in Denver.

Now back in Oregon, Dr. Shangraw is passionate about teaching the next generation of dermatologists and caring for her fellow Oregonians. As Program Director of the Frontier Dermatology Residency Program, she brings her love of teaching and patient care together every day. 🩺🌲

For Dr. Shangraw, great medicine starts with more than clinical expertise: “Curiosity, sincerity, and empathy are essential components of excellent patient care.” Her greatest reward? Getting to know her patients and helping improve their quality of life through skin health. 💙

Medical Oncologist | Melanoma & Skin Cancer Specialist

Meet Dr. Matthew Hadfield, D.O., a board-certified oncologist specializing in the treatment of melanoma and skin cancer at the Brown University Health Cancer Institute. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine on the research track at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. 🧬

After earning his medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Hadfield completed his internal medicine training at the University of Connecticut before returning to Brown for his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.

Alongside caring for patients, Dr. Hadfield is passionate about advancing cancer research and is a member of both the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. His work brings together clinical care, research, and a focus on improving outcomes for patients with skin cancer. 🔬

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Nikolaus Matsler ✨
Emergency Medicine Physician | Medical Toxicologist

After completing medical school at OHSU, Dr. Nik Matsler headed to Denver for Emergency Medicine residency. It was there that he discovered a passion for toxicology, and decided to pursue it further through a fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety Fellowship in Medical Toxicology. 🧪

Today, Dr. Matsler practices both Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology and is especially interested in the acute management of poisoned patients. His curiosity doesn’t stop at the bedside, he also loves toxicology research and has worked on several projects exploring the potential of machine learning in medicine. 🤖

After completing fellowship, Dr. Matsler and his wife returned to Oregon, where they both now practice. From treating complex poisonings to exploring new technologies, his career reflects a passion for curiosity, problem-solving, and advancing patient care.

Dermatologist | Cutaneous Oncology Leader | Skin Cancer Advocate
After more than 26 years of service in the Air Force and Air National Guard, Dr. Oliver Wisco recently retired as a Colonel—but his commitment to service continues through medicine. 🇺🇸

As Director of Cutaneous Oncology at Brown University, Dr. Wisco leads research, teaches dermatology residents, and cares for patients with high-risk skin cancers. His work is driven by a mission to improve access to skin cancer care and better understand the factors behind high-risk disease. 🧬🔬

His impact extends nationally, from helping develop the American Academy of Dermatology’s DataDerm registry and melanoma care guidelines to pioneering one of the first dermatology-focused Project ECHO programs. Now, he’s bringing that expertise to Central and Eastern Oregon—with a focus on comprehensive, personalized skin care and health promotion.

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Mandi Hudson ✨

Psychiatrist | Campus Dean & Medical Educator

From Willamette University to COMP-NW, Dr. Mandi Hudson has deep roots in Oregon. After earning her D.O. from Western University of Health Sciences, she completed her Psychiatry residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis in 2013.

Dr. Hudson has spent her career caring for patients across the lifespan while teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Since joining COMP-NW faculty in 2018, she has helped develop mental health programming that gives future physicians a deeper understanding of mental health and compassionate patient care. 🧠💙

Today, she serves as Campus Dean of COMP-NW and was recognized as a Mental Health Hero in Oregon by Trillium Family Services. Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, Oregon lakes, snow skiing, and spending time with her husband and three children. 🌿⛷️

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Edward Barnes ✨

Nephrologist | Medical Educator & Academic Leader

From earning an Army scholarship in medical school to serving as a Battalion Surgeon during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Dr. Edward Barnes has built a career centered on service, medicine, and education. After completing his nephrology and hypertension fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he served with a tank unit, leading 32 medics and providing care for more than 1,000 soldiers. 🇺🇸

Since joining WesternU, Dr. Barnes has continued that commitment to service through medical education and leadership. He serves as Vice-Dean of College Affairs and Co-Director of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion curriculum at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.

Dr. Barnes is also the founding lead of the Office of Academic Innovation at COMP, where he has helped develop programs that encourage students to innovate and learn in new ways—including the Longitudinal Tracks, iSquad student innovation group, and the Apple Distinguished School-recognized Digital Doctor Bag program. 💡📚
