🇵🇭 More than a tattoo. A story of protection, ancestry, and victory.
He drove all the way from Longview, Washington, to get a custom Filipino tribal hand tattoo rooted in his heritage from Binalonan and Alcala, Pangasinan.
After sitting down and talking about his family, his work in mental health, and the battles he’s overcome, we built a design around his story.
🐍 Snake skin for protection.
👅 Snake tongues as the guiding voices of his ancestors, inspired by his connection with his late grandmother through music.
🌾 Rice crops honoring his family’s farming roots.
⚔️ Chaklag-inspired warrior motifs symbolizing strength and victory over dark times.
🌿 Plant motifs representing prosperity, abundance, and his family’s connection to the land.
Every motif was drawn with intention, connecting his personal journey to his Filipino roots.
This is what traditional Filipino tribal tattooing means to me: turning your story, culture, and identity into something you carry for life.
Salamat for the trust and for making the drive! 🙏🏽
