A lot of people here don’t know this version of me.

Before I ever learned the language of the nervous system, I was learning it from a horse.

I spent years showing horses, and looking back, I realize some of my deepest lessons about the nervous system, trust, God, and communication happened in the saddle.

A horse taught me how to pay attention to what couldn’t be said.

They feel the tension in your body.
The hesitation in your hands.
The change in your breath.
The difference between confidence and force.

And over time, that taught me how to witness the nervous systems of others with incredible detail, not just listening to what someone says, but noticing what their body is communicating underneath the words.

When you're riding, it's just you and the horse.

And in life, underneath all the noise, sometimes it really is just you and God.

A relationship.
A communication.
A willingness to listen instead of constantly trying to control what happens next.

And yes—I’ve been bucked more then a few times. 😂
But I never got mad at the horse.
I wanted to understand.

What happened?
What did I miss?
Was there fear?
Pain?
Confusion?
Was I asking in a way they couldn't understand?

Imagine if we approached life that way.

Instead of immediately becoming angry when life throws us off, what if we became curious?

Horses taught me discipline, patience, humility, responsibility and the kind of dedication required to become good at something that cannot be faked.

God continues to teach me many of the same things.

Maybe that’s why so much of what I teach today comes back to the same place:

Learn your body.
Learn to listen.
Stop trying to force everything.
Build trust.
Stay curious.
And keep the communication between you and God open enough to receive love, peace, direction and understanding.

Maybe the things that shaped us most were teaching us who we would become long before we knew it.

🩵 What part of your past taught you something you’re still carrying today? I’d genuinely love to hear it.

The more time I spend in the wellness world, the more compelled I feel to resist parts of it.

Here are 5 ways I’m resisting wellness culture:

1. By going directly to God.
Before I ask a card, a coach, a healer, or even ChatGPT—I pray. I’m learning that discernment isn’t something I need to constantly outsource.

2. By letting discomfort exist.
I don’t need to regulate myself out of every uncomfortable emotion. Sometimes discomfort isn’t dysregulation. Sometimes it’s grief. Conviction. Growth. A hard truth. Sometimes it’s exactly what I needed to feel.

3. By not turning every negative emotion into Trauma with a capital T.
Grief, disappointment, anger, jealousy, fear, heartbreak—these are also normal parts of being human. Not every painful experience needs a diagnosis or a healing protocol.

4. By not using “protecting my energy” as an excuse to avoid people.
Boundaries matter. Deeply. But so does learning how to remain grounded around people who think differently, live differently, or simply aren’t exactly like me.

5. By believing healing should eventually make you more FREE.
Not more afraid of triggers.
Not more dependent on practitioners.
Not more obsessed with fixing yourself.

More able to live. To love. To trust yourself. To trust God. To experience the full range of being human without believing every uncomfortable moment means something is wrong.

If you believe healing should eventually lead to freedom, we’re probably going to get along.

The door to the Divine isn't somewhere outside of you. It's within your own heart.

Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped living from the heart and started living from fear.

We learned to guard ourselves.
To overthink.
To seek permission.
To look outside ourselves for answers that were never meant to leave us.

This is why I believe breathwork is so powerful.

The breath has a way of quieting the noise, softening the nervous system, and bringing you back to the place where your heart can hear what your mind has been drowning out.

Helping you to remember that you've always carried the capacity to experience a direct connection with God.

No middleman. No constant searching.

❤️ If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear your perspective.

Most people think breathing is automatic, so it must be working correctly.

But automatic doesn't always mean optimal.

After more than a decade working in healthcare and guiding over 1,000 people through breathwork, I've noticed something fascinating: I can often tell a lot about someone's physiology before they ever say a word.

I notice how they're breathing.
I notice their posture.
I notice the tension they carry in their face, jaw, neck, and shoulders.
I notice whether their mouth naturally hangs open, if their under-eye area appears fatigued, or if their lips struggle to stay comfortably closed.

These aren't diagnoses. They're clues.

Your body is constantly adapting to the way you breathe.

If you've spent years breathing through your mouth, over-breathing, holding your breath during stress, or living in a chronically dysregulated state, your body will compensate. Those compensations can eventually show up in ways most people never connect back to breathing.

Over time, dysfunctional breathing can influence:
• Facial growth and jaw development
• Sleep quality and oxygen delivery
• Carbon dioxide tolerance (which is essential for efficient oxygen delivery to your tissues)
• Nervous system regulation
• Posture and spinal alignment
• Pelvic floor function
• Core stability
• Dental health
• Exercise performance and recovery
• Cognitive function, focus, and emotional regulation

This is why I teach breathing as a foundation, as every system in your body depends on it functioning well.

And another thing I believe deeply:

Loving your body isn't pretending everything is perfect.

It's becoming curious enough to ask,
"How can I support it better?"

Real self-love is the moment you choose awareness over autopilot...

You're telling your body,
"I care about you."

Small changes, practiced consistently, create extraordinary transformations over time.

Most people never realize they are breathing in a way that keeps their body stuck in stress.

Mouth breathing. Shallow chest breathing. Constant over-breathing.

These patterns quietly impact:

anxiety + nervous system regulation
sleep quality
energy levels
focus + mental clarity
digestion
muscle recovery
even blood pressure and overall health..

And because breathing is automatic, most people never question it.

But, I'm here to politely scream "Your breath affects every system in your body".

& that’s why I created this free resource:
The Functional Breath Reset Workbook

Inside, you’ll learn:

- how to identify dysfunctional breathing patterns
- simple self-assessments
- nervous system education
- CO₂ tolerance + why it matters
- foundational breathing retraining practices

This is not another workbook telling you to just “take a deep breath”.

This is about learning how to work with your body instead of constantly fighting against it.

If you’ve been feeling anxious, dysregulated, exhausted, disconnected from your body, or like your nervous system never fully relaxes… this workbook is for you.

Your breath influences every system in your body more than most people realize.

Your energy.
Your sleep.
Your focus.
Your digestion.
Your nervous system.
Even the way your brain and heart function.

And yet most people are walking around breathing through their mouth all day, disconnected from the very thing fueling every cell in their body.

One of the first things I teach in my classes is this:

Breathe through your nose 99% of the time... outside of class 😉

The breath is one of the most foundational regulators of human function. The way you breathe affects oxygen delivery, stress response, heart rate, sleep quality, mental clarity, and overall resilience.

🩵 And honestly, I’ve seen this one small shift completely change people’s lives over night!

My Functional Breath Reset Packet was created not only to help people improve their health and reconnect to functional breathing patterns, but also to prepare my clients for my SolSync Somatic Breathwork Journeys.

Because activating breathwork can stir up deep emotion, energy, and stored patterns if the nervous system doesn’t first have a foundation of regulation and safety.

My goal is not dependency.
My goal is to help people build true, unwavering self-trust in their body, nervous system, and breath.
